I haven't had any youngsters reported this year

all my birds - young and old have telephone number rings - the last 2 years the only birds that I have had reported have been from non-fanciers - except one alive, have had 2 dead old birds reported by fanciers

I lost 7 OLD birds from Huntingdon 1 Didn't lose many youngsters 1 from the NEHU Futurity race and 2 from Maidstone young birds (UNC)

Ditto Our 2007 latebreds were trained in 2008 with the old and young birds and had 2 races as trainers with the young birds in 2008 They had the full old bird inland programme - except for the first combine race, and they had the last channel race (a stinker!!) we still have them both

I have a 2004 hen that is cut down every year and used as a trapper - she hasn't raced since she was a young bird, but I couldn't race her now (could I????)

Have not got electric in stock loft, but have got electric in race lofts (6 feet away) so could put it in

Strange. Mine all seemed ok with it although i get the tablets from the Vets and break them into 4 pieces and give 2 pieces one after the other. Not sure what way medpet sell theirs (regarding size). They were 100mg - cellulose coated I think I think that is too strong - and prefer to give the quarters which I have not had any problems with (kewl)(kewl)(puke)(evil)

(kewl)(kewl)(evil) They were given it on an empty crop - they threw the tablet up (and these were 2 and 3 year old hens)

I have had old hens throw up after being given metronidazole from medpet - despite it saying it has this unique outerlayer to stop them throwing up LOL!!

Its not artificial LOL (evil) It means they will be darkness youngsters naturally - as there won't be many daylight hours in the first few months - so you don't have to darken down the loft later

'Natural' darkness for the youngsters, we want to try it out

We are going to pair the stock birds in December, just for a change and have some early youngsters, we don't have many, only room for 5 pairs. Any tips as we have never paired this early before They're currently on and allround mix as all the stock have completed their moult now
