There is a lens at the top and one at the bottom - these are multiplied together to find the magnification. You wouldn't really need the x1028 unless you were doing as holmeside lofts and looking at the bacteria, which is a lot more advanced. For cocci, canker & worms x100 & x400

Have you got a leaflet - or is it on a website? If the magnification only goes up to x40 its no good - they do others that go up to x1280

I can't find anything on Lidl website - but I don't think they will be good enough - I don't think they will have the magnification you require (x100 & x400) - the better ones aren't a lot more
