I bred 6 youngsters for somebody who no longer wants them :-/ I do not have room for them myself, they are NEHU rung and 26-28 days old They are available to anybody (free) who can collect or arrange transport ASAP (But not tomorrow, I'm out all day ) I am in Redcar

Hens did better than cocks in racing and lost a lot fewer hens especially in the longer races Only had injuries in the last old bird race

IMO she won't sit the eggs

'Lost' wouldn't consider birds 'lost' unless they'd been missing for a while From todays race I have 1 missing from 45 sent (106 miles) (thats the whole team bar 1 for sprint and channel racing) A late May 09 bred youngster - his first ever race

Most of my hens wouldn't even sit their eggs if there's been a holdover and their mate is away !!

Have never used Baycox when the old birds have been feeding youngsters - and would advise against it Have you had their droppings tested?

Youngsters from roundabout section weaned today - the other half is cleaning out and shutting the boxes up, cleaning the nest bowls etc - the hens were removed a few days ago (but they're still sulking)

Its the third day running we've had brilliant sunshine here - can't believe that the weather is going to change that bad tomorrow (wasn't sending anyway)(shrug)
