  13. think he is doing his coaching badges with the sfa, used to have a few pints with him in his dundee utd days as a couple of the utd boys were from kirkintilloch, was mad keen on the doos and was also on hand a few times to give out the trophies at the local boys club, always found him to be a decent guy. :)

  19. Well thats not very cheery homer. :(
  20. lets hope we all can get a wee turn lewis. :) good luck to section D.
  21. do agree jamie, but it this day and age surely we must cater for all!! how many lofts in scotland???what percentage of these fanciers race with the SNFC??? as you said in an earlier post there would only be some other organisation to give these folks what they want ie inland nationals, the distance races will always be there and imo we are close to the correct programme. good luck for the weekend. :) :) ps the fed racing the past few weekends has been none to clever.
  22. there will be more than a few alf,we have gone to the coast as federation, combines, specialist midweek coastal racing or amalgamations even the 1000 mile club had coastal racing, over the years most have bit the dust or at best are a shadow of their former self, dont even think the lanarkshire would fancy the english coast on their own, imo still think the national offers the best choice :)
  23. Gareth have a look at the members who sent to what nationals last year, :( we have to move with the times,5000 national doos this weekend is like turning back the clock to the glory years of the 70s and 80s racing, plenty of racing from 300-600 miles for all that imo is the answer. ;)
  24. she homed about an hour after the fed topper and straight on to her eggs, dont know if i would do it again though :o had told two men at the marking about our entries preperation and they remarked that i would not see any of the hens again, both had large teams away and failed to clock you never no at the gold cup, good luck for the w/end lewis. :) :)
  25. did it in i think, timed a2 yr old l/b hen on a fast race from maidstone sat before the tuesday basketing (we topped the fed with a yearling, maidstone)we timed her early sat morning and she was 30th section ??the race was won by les mackay of carnoustie from leige, delboy won the west section and was 5th open. ps the wee hen scored the next year from reims??? also sent an older hen the exact same and she was just out of race time 2/2 both at maidstone on the sat!!!!! :) we had a terrible toss on the sat with both main doos scuffed on wires that was the reason for the change. ;)
