We had a good toss from Meldons libed at 10.50.approx,, first doos at 11.33 much better than yesterday a peregrine went into them so they were a bit scattered.

I think you could be right there Derek, I had a pigeon reported in Penrith from Sedgefield in a west wind someone handed it into a vet who looked after it and built it up for a week then he liberated it the doos up the road with no probs. The point I am trying to make is whats it doing in PENRITH from SEDGEFIELD in a west wind????? I think the pigeons are coming over the pennines and are not dog legging as some would think.

Do you not think the wind plays a big part on the drag in the short races ??? It certainly plays a big part on the long races also across the breadth of the country.

I don't think fret marks are sign of weakness I would look at them as battle scars.

I would leave it the way it is, it might be different if there was money prizes involved but at this moment you get SFA for winning a fed ticket apart from the fed open races.

I agree with this man the paper itself is inadequate for a long stay, this week we put some easy bed in the baskets and the doos were excellent on there return this week.
