Tam I've got a trailer and I reckon at a push it could hold 500 doos there is five tiers in it and they are all fitted with wire grills the doos come out spotless and it has a side bit with bob wires for putting them in get in touch way me if your interested ?

Good reading mick I think Davy Angus doos had a big influence on quite a few lofts . I wonder if Matt whites mealy Hen scotch queen 1980 Rennes winner had the Angus blood in her? She won Rennes in a north west wind into paisley for me was a bit special.

I agree Derek Reims for the gold cup it was the conditions that f up the doos last year the night before the lib showed lightening all over that part of Europe in other words the atmospherics were messed up the doos couldn't orientate properly that's the reason there were so many reported in North Holland Germany and Denmark .

I think black and yellow are warning colours in nature for e.g. Snakes wasps I think a predator would think twice about going for a wasp or snake .

If it was me I would be counting back about 67 days from when you want them ready at 35 days by the way you should know that you've had them long enough.

Well if the hawks taking them I don't see it happening but I've seen the tell tale signs that they've been about like a dead goldfinch below the window obviously hitting it and as for the doos I don't get anymore bother than anybody else I've not had one hit by a sparrowhawk for a good few years now.

I've been feeding them for a few years now and I canny say I've had any bother.

need to get yourself a couple of feeders Davie one for sunflower hearts and one for niger seed and you'll get the wee birds in there droves.

I've had siskens redpols had a brambling last year and also a great spotted woodpecker and by the way there were nightjars at the Douglas support near shawhead before they put the new road through it I don't know if they are still there.

I've stopped feeding them for the time being it was costing me a fkn fortune I have four feeders two with sunflower hearts and two with niger seed I was getting flocks of at least 70 to 80 goldfinches at at a time plus a few greenfinches chaffys great tits coal tits plus the usual blue tits plus street pigeons by the dozen which were hoovering up the seeds that the wee birds were dropping fkn menace they street pigeons.

I'll believe it when I see it myself some folk can see things lol
