  1. Reading earlier guy was suspended after he was loaned pennine heights but would not return the bird. He kept it for a few years I believe. So Mr Shackleton called in his lawyers, The bird was returned safely and the RPRA handed out a hefty ban. Too tough or justice done???
  2. Jamie & Richard Combe raced last year with the BICC and timed two from le mans 560 miles I am sure it will happen in the future where more fanciers will take part in these great clubs. Whether its as far as Barcelona not too sure.
  3. We were in Holland a couple of year's back and Mark Van den Berg was telling us. They liberated at nightfall and timed doos during the night. His loft had spotlights to illuminate the loft so the birds would trap. Also was told a story with two prominent distance flyers both liberated late at night on the way home they seen the batch go down and land on a roof. On returning home both fanciers had one bird home each. Both these birds went on to score numerous times across the channel. Maybe just coincidence???? The young bird national this year guys were timing in the dark.
  4. See Gareth you only live once time for Blackpool yet !!
  5. The scottish one loft race. Well it looked that way majority never made it to the first toss.
  6. Sorry to hear your missing out Archie hope your wife is ok. Just checked the weather forecast looks like we are going to get a cold snap just in time for the blackpool weekend.

Was up the loft putting the decorations away decided to have a look at the auld mans tickets. Found a pedigree billy did your youngster blue su91L0529 do anything after taking 19th region yb national.
  11. Both systems work well its the after sales service that lets both company's down. Although dougie Bauld was always very helpful in Scotland.
  12. Great photo's Derek good luck with them in the future.
  13. Condolences to the Telfer family.
  14. Cracker
  15. Sent Pm
  16. Steven. I am so sorry to hear of the sad news of your dad. He was one of my dads old mates from school and they remained good friends up until my dad died. Jack Blackhurst was one of the nicest men I have ever met in the pigeon game. He gave me the pick of his loft a good few times and offered me loads of advice. He loved the long races and was very successful with different methods from your normal doo man. Rest in peace. Frank Welsh Big Malc will be waiting for him!!
  17. Superglue 5 quid a bottle top stuff.
  18. Hope so Stuart it would be great for the sport here in Scotland. Always said it would happen when guys died off or the hatred subsided
  19. Great stuff Stuart some performances that guy has put up for the last few years.
  20. It was sad the split occurred but I have saw guys come back to the snfc or others joining the snrpc. Don't think there is the same feelings of hate anymore especially in the west.
  21. George your right so many true national men use fed racing for training. Which must be really hard as most weeks they are last but come to the channel races. These guys and there birds come to the fore. For me I would rather take a good channel ticket any day. But you've got to take your hat off to guys who compete every week. Different races and different doo men.
  22. Don't think it's the race points that's the problem. Just think your calendar is squashed with too many races or not enough time in between. If races were spread a little more it would help the birds recover and maybe double them back and also the fanciers who has to fork out a small fortune in a short space of time.
  23. Looked at that one Andy but too far away for my liking plus auld Garvie goes there.
  24. See area's of Belfast been warned they may be evacuated and to pack a suitcase just incase.
  25. Just booked up as usual looking forward to it. Staying in the Atlantis Hull road a bit more central this year as our normal hotel bumped the prices up. Where you staying?
