  1. we said that last year after wetherby but it was not any busier
  2. shows how the rspb work they would do anything to save the peregrine and we all know the eagle owl is the main predator of the peregrine why should they(rspb) be allowed to say what lives and what doesn't
  3. thats sad it put so much effort in to get home it killed itself must have had some heart
  4. update today the birds were feral and were not poisoned they just had there neck broken the boy from the rspca they must have been clearing them out a building and they dumped them at sea
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/cumbria/hi/people_and_places/nature/newsid_8884000/8884192.stm red kites have been released in cumbria for the last three years they are fed by human hand until they no longer need food but find there own guess they would not take our pigeons but would sure scare them and what about the peregrines, hen harriers ,sparrowhawks and other birds of prey in cumbria sure they will all welcome more birds of prey into there feeding and breeding grounds
  6. http://raptorpolitics.org.uk/?p=1555 look carefully at the picture here the red kite still has an idea tag number 40 which looks pretty new
  7. we did have reports birds were flying up and down a valley for 30 mins seems the just have flown themselves to death or near death

  11. spoke about that before i reckon it is a great idea
  12. think our option is more of the same next year no matter what route we fly i was so anti west route now i don't think it would make a difference the hawks are all over think the time has come to get the guns out and blow the barstewards out the friggin sky because the rspb dont give a toss about our pigeons
  13. if there is none squeaking get them all to lesmahagow 15-17 mile as long as they are all disapearing when you let them out in the morning and racing up and down the sky when they return as a batch
  14. we had this at our club agm two years ago the problem was did we have enough baskets for every member and if one member put 24 birds in a basket and another put 5 could there be an unfair advantage i reckon it is still a good idea but difficult to work
  15. think this proves the lsc opening up it boundary was the correct decision there has been some fantastic flyers joined the great club over the last two years well done martin hughes
  16. i know the 98% for sale i see it on here all the time but thankfully my money is still in the pocket i will wait for death sales and hopefully choose wisely i will listen to your advice and hopefully i can move forward with patience and luck build up a better team for the longer races as i only have a small team i can only concentrate on a few races and getting one from across the water beats winning any fed race i am sure you will agree again well done winning the fed average's and doing so will in the snfc
  17. jim must have tossed it but its getting closer to east kilbride

  23. i will take all they aged stock birds you have budgie grizzles from bothwell are my favourite's
  24. i trained on sunday from edinburgh they came all day and night i dropped two bop
  25. correct and you dont have as many bop in london either we have watched cornwall, wales, cumbria and the west of scotland being hounded now the bop have spread to find the food source they are moving into areas that have never seen them before over the last 5 years east of scotland east of england are just as bad as the areas i mentioned above peregrines nest in cliffs as there natural environment but how many can adapt to church towers, pylons.....etc therefore the flatter lands of the east with a great food source becomes ever more appealing 15-20 years ago your youngbirds would drop as one from training not often nowadays to me the main problem is still peregrine falcons
