one thing pigeons eyesight must be ten times better than our now if they see a peregrine strike i still reckon they would turn and for no one who has witnessed a peregrine strike belieive me when i say a batch can dive into a tree at full speed and wont come back out for hours this year think on the races you get a couple of birds then nothing for an hour or hours then bang you get a few bird within minutes of each other with hardly anything taken out there body's then others are flown out to get home birds home with feathers missing or holes in there bodys so peregrine hitting above and sparrowhawks below its a hard old life for pigeons

made up stories as it is why anybody responds is beyond me

if you dont mind telling us derek what sort of training did you give your birds ? i know someone as well who trained his youngbirds with his old birds as he see's no point training twice and he doesnt pussy foot around with short tosses one toss 20 mile then 45 milers with his national doo's

i think if your birds crops are full or half full they should go in a separate basket then if they puke it up the other birds will not devour it

i think it is all three i think to myself how come i had 6 birds within 17 mins ended up with 9 from 13 why could the rest not make it on time were they followers or sick but not showing signs or were they just not up to the job
