I was given all my birds but 6 i bought in, a pigeon i won with a young bird off was ment for the bin and i saved it when no one else wanted it, also a second with a young bird off another that was ment for the bin, just coz others think they are no good they may win for you,, the best thing is to stay close to people that cant race but buy the best birds, if they dont win for them then they dont sell them, so you get good birds for free, That have good blood in them, a fella i met in chester, (salwin huxley) lucky when i as starting back up i took a stray to him, that year he was not breeding off his widowhood team so he gave me the lot, he didnt really no me. and along with the other tread( what the sport needs ) Its more fanciers like salwin

I very much agree, all of the clubs on the wirral dont have a presentation night no more, me and a mate are trying to bring it back but no one cares, thats what we need, more fun and sense of achivement, i won the best club in the area and didnt get to have a drink with the lads, everyone just goes home :( >

they do eat ya birds feathers, i have had loads this year. lavender keeps them at bay, dont know why but it does. They also eat clothing

Good advise, but unless you wean all young over on the same day i would not inject for paramixo, your birds need to be away from others for atleast 14 days, if you dont wean them on the same day you will be incresing that period and giving your birds more of a chance of getting the virus, i wait untill all birds are in the loft and no more are going in, jmo

I think Paratyphoid is on most corns now, it is from mice urinating on corn most of the time and for corn companys to stop that would be impossible, its not about the area its more about your loft, like do you leave the corn in for mice to get to it ect,
