  1. Ahha, I should say I know less about cars than I do pigeons and I know next to nothing about them either ;D ;D lol
  2. Hiya Its the 1.6 Auto, dont have a clue about the engine type though - sounds like it could be costly
  3. Hi all my other half recently bought an 02 rover 25, 41000 miles on the clock. Car seems to be running fine but I went to top her coolant up today and there is a very thin layer of brown creamy stuff on top of the coolant. Heat gauge has never gone above half and no loss of oil, no high use of coolant either. Wondering if this might be head gasket probs, or perhaps worrying over nothing? The car cames with 3 months warranty from the garage, she has had it 2 months. If head gasket would this likely be covered under garage warranty? Cheers
  4. LOL Just had a look on youtube, guy on there injects down near the leg and makes it look quite easy, would it be ok to inject the nobilis in this way or not a good idea?
  5. Thanks lads, sorted now. wife held them, I injected.
  6. Hi all Just vaccinated my first yb but noticed on taking the needle out some of the vaccination fluid seeped out of the needle insertion point on the pigeon, is this normal or have I messed it up? Also any tips on how to hold/vaccinate much appreciated Cheers Craig
  7. Hi all, Looking for a courier to pick up in Aberdeenshire deliver to Kent later this week if at all possible. Does anyone have any details of couriers that may be doing a Scotland run this week at all? I will be ringing round the ones I know tomorrow but thought it was also worth asking on here as well... Cheers Craig
  8. Thank you, have looked at the hyperdrug site. Will give them a call Monday and check they still have stock
  9. Hi all Where is the best place for me to buy the PMV Vaccine, the smaller sized packs. Also do I need to buy any injecting kit or is that supplied with the vaccine? Although not racing my birds this year I have been advised I should vacinate them anyway. Cheers Craig
  10. Hi David. They look crackers mate, very, very pleased to be getting the opportunity to have these birds. Will get in contact with some couriers next week. Thank you Craig :)

  13. Bred from red cheq x mealy. No pied or white in the parents at all...
  14. Many, many thanks David. I would be delighted to accept them. Please let me know when you want the courier arranging etc and I will get that done. Thank you again :)
  15. Hi David If the offer has not already been taken up I would very much like to take you up on it. This is my first year with pigeons and would welcome the chance to try these birds. The offer of the birds is kind enough and I would not expect, neither would I accept for you to pay the carriage. I would be more than happy to arrange and pay for a courier when the birds are ready, or if you are near to Kent I would be happy to collect from you. Many thanks
  16. All the others ok, or did they have probs too?
  17. Have you got your money back from them? He is going to send the rings back to them tomorrow and try to obtain a refund. He has no other birds, his loft is brand new, they havent even been out yet
  18. My mate bought the 6 ebony aardens that i mentioned at the start of this thread. All 6 of them look like they are at deaths door. He has had them 10days, 1 arrived blind in 1 eye and they agreed to refund his money all the others looked fine. They are now all looking like cr*p. All mopping around, no life in them, lost stacks of weight, head dropped all the time, feathers not held tight. He too is a new starter and thought perhaps he had done something wrong by the birds but looking at the other posts perhaps its down to the origin of the birds? Luckily if you can call any of the above lucky, he has not yet got any other young birds yet so the 'disease' has not claimed any other birds. He has a local fancier coming to help him out and he has been promised more young from local fanciers. I am going to tell him he should consider seeking a refund as it does seem that the problem is not of his making.
  19. Hi all, Is it ok to give apertex and spartix tablets together, should they be given on an empty crop or ok to give after feeding?
  20. Hi Denny I bought my perches from that site. Very pleased with them and next day delivery too. I have some pics of them on here somewhere if you wanted to have a look
  21. A good thing I have found for redmite with canaries and finches is double sided carpet tape around the nest area you would be suprised how many redmite can be caught this way just over night. It doesnt irradicate the problem by any means but it does show if you have a problem and catch some of them in the process. One of my mates also recommends dusting heavily with talc powder on the nest felt as this apparently breaks down the shell of the mite. Not sure how reliable this is but he says he never has a red mite problem

  23. Just been having a look on the NFC web site, do they have a list of marking stations on there at all, if they do I cant see it. Wondering if they pick up in the Kent area at all?
  24. Hi all, A couple of weeks ago I had yb sickness symptoms in the loft, watery droppings everywhere and a couple of birds retaining food in their crop. Two birds looked awful and in honnesty I didnt think they would make it through. I've had them on Xerec, and been putting yoghurt on their seed, plus have given charcoal tablets as well. It was after the charcoal tablets they really seemed to improve They are all bouncing fit now and looking great. Of the 2 youngsters that looked really bad, 1 has lost a lot of weight, but is putting weight back on now its eating and is active, bright eyed and getting tightness of feather back, the other one looks fine but makes a 'whooping' noise when eating, is this anything to worry about? I have these 2 young birds seperated from the main youngsters and was wondering also if it would be ok to put them back in with the others yet or to give it more time just incase??
  25. Whereabouts in Folkestone is the lib?
