  1. Ah cheers, I see it now. It is because I had not logged in lol Not sure I agree with emails going off to unintended third parties though...
  2. Have joined up to the above and just wondering if it is possible to contact the seller of the bird before or after you have bought or if you have to deal through Elimar all the time? Cheers Craig
  3. Hi all I know its the wrong time of the year really but am chuffed to have got my first fertile egg from a pair of birds I got off chucka less than a month ago. Parents broke the first egg, but this one is ok so far. Just wondering if I would need to extend the light a little to enable the parents to feed, assuming the chick hatches. I used to have lights on 14hours a day for my budgies but havent been using them at all with my pigeons. Advice welcomed! Craig
  4. Thank you
  5. What would be a good size for box perches please? I have been using the V plastic perches but having seen pictures of box perches I would prefer those. Would something about 10" x 6" x 10" be ok or is this to small?
  6. Hi Martin, What equipment do you have, may possibly be interested. Am in Kent so could collect possibly Craig
  7. Just got this from the Amtrak site I. Best and T. Lukic were appointed as Administrators of Netfold Limited t /as Amtrak on Friday evening 22nd August and the Company has subsequently ceased trading. As a result Netfold Ltd t/as Amtrak cannot meet your future requirements for parcel carriage. However Business Post - UK Mail are pleased to offer you a solution to your carriage requirements at your current terms. To take advantage of this simply place your booking and a representative from Business Post will contact you. For further information please call 0121 335 1015
  8. The Amtrak site hs gone, it just says Ian Best and Tom Lukic were appointed as Administrators to Netfold Limited trading as Amtrak on 22nd August 2008
  9. Hi all, All seems well on my return. I put down a little extra food for them when I left which they had eaten all of on my return and they didnt seem any hungrier than usual. Craig
  10. Can anyone please recommend a basic pigeon keeping book, more interested in the breeding and management needs at the moment rather than racing etc. Have checked out eBay but they all seem to have more focus on the racing side from what I can see. Cheers Craig
  11. I am off for a short break from tomorrow early AM to late Thursday PM. How much food should I leave down for my 2 pairs. They have a 5ltr drinker of water so that should be ok, not sure on the amount of food though. Cheers Craig
  12. At present my loft is 6ft x 6ft. I have the option to increase this to 9ft x 6ft or I could have a flight running along the front of 6ft x 3ft. Not really sure of the advantages/disadvantages. My own preference would be for a flight (I think!) as I could see the birds from the garden, but would they use a flight much?
  13. I Pm'd them Tuesday evening and did get a very helpful reply last night but as my enquiry was urgent I rung their office number yesterday morning on and off for about 45min, no answer. I could have left a message but wanted something arranged there and then. I tried the mobile number on their web site and could not get that to be accepted by my phone. In the end I rung Amtrak around 10:00am yesterday & my birds were picked up just after 1:00pm the same day, and were delivered to me at 07:55 this morning. I hope this is just teething problems and they will get better. One area AM might like also to consider is delivery of Canaries & Finches etc as there is a real gap in the market here. To get birds from one end of the UK to the other will cost you atleast £50 now that Amtrak & Interlink have dropped out of delivering small birds. Craig
  14. Hi all, Thank you to everyone for their kind offers of birds. I would like to say a particular thank you to Chucka who sent me 2 pairs which arrived this morning. They look lovely birds & have settled in well. Many thanks for letting me have them. Cheers Craig
  15. Just 2 pairs please Chucka to get me started. How do I pay you for the Amtrak or do I pay the delivery driver?
  16. Hi Chucka I am in Kent. If you are to far would you be able to Amtrak them to me?
  17. Hi Paddymac, Would Amtrak bring them over or are they UK only? Cheers Craig
  18. Thank you I have dropped him a message. Anyone else please feel free to message incase the birds have gone etc Thank you for your help Craig
