  2. I'm sure he does, but cant get an answer on his landline lol
  3. Hi all Trying to find out who does the UK courier work for Colin Surtees. Does anyone know please?
  4. Hi all, Anyone know where I can get some of the above. No real improvement in my yb. Fed lightly yesterday but all vomited up again this morning. Any other recommendations appreciated. Cheers
  5. Hi all, Has anyone used Nifradex with any success on young bird sickness?
  6. Just looking on ukanimalproducts.com, does anyone use the Nifradex they offer for young bird sickness?
  7. Hi Chrissy, All my stock birds were treated for worms, cocci & canker before pairing. The yb is about 7/8weeks old. Will get some pro-biotic yoghurt and put a little on his seed. Have also been recommended ground cinnamon which I have just put a little of down his crop. Like you I dont like the idea of kill, kill etc.
  8. I know, just find it hard to do and being as racing is not important to me I thought I would give him a chance, looks like I just made a problem for myself now though.
  9. Very watery, the other birds droppings seem all ok though.
  10. A little fluffed up, but is very active and not slitty eyed at all
  11. Noticed one of my ybs had sicked up his seed this morning. Isolated him and have added cider vinegar to the water. He has eaten a small amount of canary mix but has sicked up again. Looking at other posts I am guessing this is the start of young bird sickness. I had similar with a late bred yb when I first started with pigeons last year. I dont race my birds, just keep them for fun at the moment. Wondering if there is anymore I can do for the bird or if this will just pass naturally?? He was a slow developing yb in the nest and I guess perhaps I should have removed him at that stage. I dont really want to be giving them medications etc to prop them up
  12. Saw those earlier. I used to buy chinese quail eggs on eBay 48 at a time, a few would arrive broken, but always got well over 75% hatch rate using a cheapo incubator
  13. Thank you for the cock birds mate. They look great and have settled in well (claimed a nestbox each already.) All the best Craig
  14. Thanks for the birds mate, they arrived around lunch time and all in good shape. Delivered by South coast pigeon courier, they were fine with the delivery being changed to my friends address. Thank you again Craig
  15. Thank you Vallance :)
  16. Hi m8, Did you get my pm re courier? Cheers Craig
  17. I was told to use red band pigeon conditioner which I bought a small bag of. It smells of aniseed, the birds seem to like it, but it is a bit pricey. Cost me £4.50 for a kilo.
  18. I am looking for old birds, 2 cocks and 1 hen. Strain not important, just for fun. Grizzle or darks would be great if possible. Happy to organise courier etc. Cheers
  19. Hi Jamie Where in Kent are you?
  20. I wasnt going to seperate the ybs, they will have their own 6x5 section with 30box perches, and am aiming for 15/20 ybs to race with hopefully, will having the sexes mixed be a problem?
  21. Thank you This is my first year of racing and want to keep things as simple as possible, hope I do the birds justice lol I'll be happy just getting some back from races in reasonable time, not overly worried about the winning
  22. I was intending to race my youngbirds natural, just to their perch. Is this a successful method?
  23. Hi, Where can I get a copy of the above, also whats the contents like, is it just breeder adverts?
  24. What breed is the grizzle?
  25. Hi Steve Yes, first year in racing. I usually check the egg around 5 days for fertility, and again at about 10/14days to make sure all is ok, then they are left. I scrape out the boxes each day but they dont come off the eggs when I am doing that. The hens were on Natural 4 seasons corn mix which was diluted by equal parts barley
