  1. Hi all I bought a sack of this today as I could not get the breed and wean mix that I got last year, last years mix (Bamfords I think) was mostly maples, safflower and dari & The Vanrobaeys mix is very different with hardly any maples or and very little safflower. The mix was sold to me by the corn merchants as a mix suitable for breeding and weaning Does anyone use the Vanrobaeys mix?
  2. Quick thank you to Castle Couriers. 6 birds picked up for me yesterday in Lancs delivered safely to Kent this afternoon. All that way for £30, cant be bad. :) Very helpful & professional service.
  3. Hi Tony Might be a bit of a journey but Stimulite bird foods in Kent - (Near Sittingbourne) stock quite a few mixes of the Natural Pigeon Range
  4. Thanks Mark
  5. Really enjoyed reading through this post, thank you for putting it on the forum :) Mark.... I cant get the link to work from your post
  6. Yup, the ones on elimar
  7. Hi all, Saw some of these on an auction site the other day and thought they looked pretty good. Does anyone here keep them and if so how do you rate them?
  8. Hi Mav I am also looking for a couple of whites and if like me you come across the advert below please deal with caution if at all http://www.trade-it.co.uk/category/birds-pidgeons/region/w-uk-bristol-south-west-avon-bristol/PureWhiteRacingpigeonslogansquality-7255009.html I asked the seller 2 simple questions via email: 1 are the birds RPRA rung & 2 is is possible to see pictures of the pigeons. I know there are pictures attached to the sale but I do not believe they belong to the seller. Anyhow, the response I got to my questions was "SORI,I HAVNT GOT TIME TO WASTE" Speaks for itself really.
  9. Hi bigbok, Interesting reading. A friend of mine has white commines from the natural breeding station, they all have the normal pigeon eye, but they do quite often produce birds with the odd dark feather. He also has delbars and these have the bulleye, and more often than not produce pure whites
  10. Hi, Do white delbars have the normal pigeon eye or are they bullseye like the logans?
  11. Hi all, Can someone point me in the direction of the sticky thread that was on here last yr with various courier details. I cant seem to find it Cheers :)
  12. Hi all Are these sprinters or distance birds?
  13. Hi all, Are the RPRA still supplying member packs to prospective new members? I remember mine had a BHW, and some other reading material. A friend of mine has just started up and I said I would get the pack for him, when I got mine there was a link on their site somewhere but I cant find it for looking now. Any info appreciated
  14. Hi all Probably not a great question without knowing the birds, but in theory would Logans or Jan Aardens be a suitable cross into Kirkpatricks. Not intended for the racing basket but I would like them to be able to get home quicker than I can walk lol
  15. Have sent you a pm. Cheers
  16. Hi I am posting for a friend of mine, he has been gifted 2 white logan cock birds and is looking to buy 2 white logan hens for breeding from this year. I say Logans as the cocks are logans and he would prefer to keep them pure, but I dont think he would be too worried if they were another strain. Thank you :)
  17. Hi Alex There is a club in Bexhill, have seen their race results in BHW but I do not have any details for them. Regards Craig
  18. Hi all Is there any members West Midlands based that will be heading down to the Kent area in the next couple of days? I have 4 birds being left with a fancier in Dudley area that I need to get to Kent. Can get a courier in on Thursday but if there is any chance of getting them down here sooner this would be fantastic. Not expecting this for free, would happily pay Many thanks Craig
  19. Cheers, have found an email address for DV Verband Deutscher Will email them and hopefully they will get back to me
  20. This one came in with my ybs a few evenings ago. Have been letting out daily but he doesnt go far and always back in the loft sharpish. Has an ETS ring so guessing on a race. Would be interested to know where liberated from and how to get in contact with the owner. Cheers
  21. Not home from a training drop Friday morning, let up near Chatham, Kent. She has done this location 3 times previous but not returned on this occasion. Other 4 beat me back as usual. Would like her back if anyone gets her in Cheers Craig
  22. Hya numpty... Got some radiator flush and have drained/flushed through. The stuff that came out was like clots of cream, didnt smell oily but was a brown colour. Done that friday evening, she used the car over the weekend and no more of this stuff has formed ontop of the header tank. Didnt overheat or anything on her trip. Hopefully have solved the problem, although not convinced and it is going back to the garage we got it from tomorrow morning to have a check through as we still have a week or so left on waranty.
  23. Yup, only just noticed it this evening. Its a bit darker than pine wood, not very thick sludge, not as thick as paint or anything like that
  24. Is that likely to be a big job to get sorted? She was wanting to use the car this weekend, 160ish mile round trip
