Hi, There was a thread titled "Guests" running with a poll has it been removed, can't find it. Just wondered what other peoples views were on people having to be a registered member to read any of the threads now and not just from the members section.

Again due to the having quite a few dogs I'm not able to go to the shows, as much as I would love to see how it all goes together and how judging pigeons works compared to the dog shows. So I have to make do with watching the video and seeing if I can spot anyone from PB's but as you don't all wear badges makes it a real task. Our neighbour found one of our pigeons this morning in her garden, two steps over the fence from the back of our loft. Usual picture feathers all around and no flesh left on the back of the head, neck or down its back. Shame she was a nice wee bird.

A universal cable is just that "UNIVERSAL" one fits all. No reason other than people trying to disrupt things for your clock not to be set via another manufacturers club system. Not sure about other ETS but all Benzing come supplied with a universal cable.

If you always take your own universal cable and you will never go wrong.

All ETS perform a basic task, to time your pigeon into the loft. Anything on top of that is personal preference. Be it add ons, service or price.

Hope you don't mind questions about judges, but where do you get your judges names from? Is there a register or do club members put names forward, how do you become a judge? Do you have to attend a seminar on judging, or just have an interest in the conformation, construction and function of the pigeon. Where can you read the rules and regulations related to showing. Would be interesting to compare it to how we show and judge dogs.

What about the judges? Does it affect the entry of pigeons at a show if it's a judge known to prefer a certain strain / type / colour of pigeon?

We had a fireworks party on halloween night in a neighbours garden and the pigeons all came off there perches onto the floor and huddled together. Same has happened again tonight, dogs are all in the dog room with the radio on quite loud and seem quite content.

We had the same problem with our club. We still set up and used it but the pigeons had to have race rubbers and we had to set a clock as well. Come the young birds though enough people had been watching and saw how easy it was and started learning about the club system and the fanciers G2 clock. There are now quite a few members using ets and someothers setting up there lofts for next years racing.
