  1. If you go by The Kennel Club standard Westie height is 11 inches and Bichon Frise is 9 - 11 inches.
  2. What they advertise them for andwhat they actually get cash in hand for them is two different things. Lots of them don't sell and end up in rescue or given away. Nice wee dogs though and I hope they get good homes.
  3. Glad to have been able to help. Looking forward to seeing piccys of tiny yorkies in 9/10 weeks

    dogs

Try here http://www.yorkshire-terrier-uk.co.uk/ If your aim is to make money off the pups forget it, inernet is full of pups folk can't sell. Better not to breed if you don't have space to keep them all or homes already booked.
  5. For them that went I hope they do have a good race. We decided not to fly the new yb race programme. We take them on a Sunday down a southerly route.

Maybe if they stopped paying so much to the "heigh heid yins" and spent more money on the frontline folk who deal with the rescues and the after care people might think about helping more. My self and a lot of friends in dogs stopped all donations to the SSPCA / RSPCA quite a few years ago. We now concentrate on supporting breed and local rescues.
  7. Ayrshire birds are up at 9am into west wind.
  8. Holding the Ayrshire birds till a liberation further down passes over them. So it said on the lib line.
  9. Got to agree good value for money, I pay £2 and £2.20 for my dog papers each week.

    Benzing ets

Hello Anto Would have liked to have made it the Saturday but as we organise and run a Sunday racing club and I drive the pigeons to the liberation site we have to be back in Scotland for the Saturday. Jim has spoken to Peter and we are hoping to be at Northside Thursday 13th and Sarsfield Friday 14th. Still to be confirmed but will let folks know in plenty of time. Plus I have to fit in a visit to a friend in Dublin who shows and breeds the same dogs that I have LOL Jim doesn't know about that yet :X

  20. Of course they were correct to review the situation. As was said earlier not going to please everybody with the new route.
  21. I went and saw the new pigeon I'm getting next week and it is a Kirkpatricks Yellow pied. Bred by Ian Mitchell of Ayr. Can't wait. Good luck to yours in the race.
  22. I thought that was why each club had two delegates to attend meetings at short notice to represent and vote on behalf of the club members, after they had spoken to them of course and got an idea for what they would want.
  23. Ayrshire Fed had a delegates meeting last night and decided on new route for the rest of the young bird race programme for 2009. Starts Saturday 25th July at Carnwath 1st August Livingston 8th August ??????? not sure of lib point 15th August Cockenzie 22nd August Dunbar 29th August Berwick upon Tweed or so we have been told. Anyone know any different.
  24. One is from our club in Kilwinning but not ours alas. Maybe one of ours will be among the next lot of pigeons reported (live in hope ).
  25. We are fortunate we have some others in the loft that didn't go to this race. Ayrshire's first four races are Lockerbie, Longtown, Lockerbie and Longtown. So we split them into two teams. For all that we would still like to have them back home. Being a democratic society the majority vote wins !!!!!!!
