  9. Hi, We have had an enquiry looking for information on a trophy that was stolen during a burglary in Southend Essex. Details I have are from the investigating police office. The trophy for the 'Homing pigeon special prize' awarded to T Coughlan by Lady Astor. The relative of the owner who was in posession of the trophy believed the date of the award was around 1922 to 1928. They are looking for an exact date. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Joan

  14. Hello Lee As I'm in Scotland and the pigeon is with a nonfancier in Watford I don't think there is any chance of anyone meeting you half way unfortuneatly. If you can confirm any other details about the pigeon, ie other ring colour etc, I will pass your name and number onto the vets who are holding the bird for you. Don't know if there are any charges for treatment (they didn't say if it was injured or not) but I'm sure if the pigeon is yours that won't be a problem. ps had someone claim a pigeon in the past that wasn't there's, thats why the questions.

  18. We had the same thing happen with a bird coming home after 2 years in perfect condition mid way through the breeding season. Other fancier actually reported it lost and phoned us to have it back. ??)
  19. I have emailed the NPA but just thought I would put on here as well in case anyone recognised there own ring number. Pigeon is in Ayrshire.
  20. Got 5 out of 9 from Otterburn, most club members still waiting for over half there birds. Suppose a bonus was we got one of the twenty dropped at Kelso back.

  22. Congratulations Mum and Dad. Welcome to the world Wilson xx
  23. Hi Bart, I would prefer it if the birds could fly a straight line home along the west coast, but for some that wouldn't be a challenge. Any way its the pigeon men that decide the routes not there wifes. Now dogs is something else at least on that subject I can say something sensible. Graham our birds fly in Kilwinning Homing Society. Like most clubs there used to be lots of members but not any more think there are about a dozen now, if that. All I can say is I am glad this years training is about finished, lets me save up space for the bakers buns next year. LOL
  24. Might stop a the bakers before going to Carnwath then me and my friend can have something while the birds settle. Hi rembrant, he goes South with the pigeons, though the young birds have been as far south training as they have racing so far.
