That's what Glasgow does tam ,if race marking is put back then we move it a bit earlier on the Saturday .
-
This years youngster u can tell with the green ring lol
-
Thanx mate that was easy , I' keep the ring marker and club station here just in case the clubhouse gets burgled or set on fire. So that's it done I never put the rings on until all the pre season training is done ,so I assign the rings put them on each net box. Cocks at top and hens at bottom on the plastic widow fronts , simples .
-
Ive got a yearling cock that's going to this weeks race ,unfortunately I've misplaced his ets ring ,they are all on their respective nest box fronts ,but his is missing , can I. Assign a new ring at race marking without setting up lap top .? If so can someone talk/take me through it ?

Spoke to RT at 12noon he had only 4/31 and heard others had none and one with only one bird home after emptying his loft . Not a good race it seems hope more work in .
-
A Stanley knife during the night Steven ?
-
Your not right andy , if the birds are slow to leave the race point or deviate from their route then the furthest flyers have an advantage , will try and explain it , say the birds fly 120 miles and should do it in 3hrs easy to work out , but they do a go leg with wind /hawks or whatever and it takes them 4 hrs so they are doing. 30 mph , but when nearer home they are doing 40 mph , the velocity is worked out from A. To B , so the furthest flyers will get 2mins /mile overfly .so wouldn't matter if ood trp or not someone has an advantage , it's just they way it's done .

Sorry Walter I thought were a proper pigeon man , how the fk does the parents feed their young ? You guessed it the regurgitate the feed ,exactly the same as bringing up there food when sick ,so every time an adult pigeon feeds its youngsters you are saying they are not at their best , what a lot of tripe mate , try saying this to the fed. Toppers feeding big youngsters. My last post on this crap.
-
, I've already said some /most pigeons don't or dislike travel , motion sickness, So they can regurgitate their food ,but it doesn't mean they are unhealthy ,yes bringing up food is sometimes associated with illness ,but there is a big difference with sick/unhealthy pigeons and a bird that has brought up its chuck.for a number of reasons , traveling in a car/ eating something that it shouldn't have ie big grit. Too much grit / minerals , and I do agree with most on here that some fanciers do send unhealthy pigeons in the race baskets , the classic one is y/b sickness, I haven't got it they say but they lose most of their birds ,and infect all the rest of the baskets .
-
Bang on davie. There is a big difference all you need to do is observe them after being sick , if they sit all hunched up then yes there could be something wrong with them . I have also noticed birds being sick after to much grit or the wrong grit.
-
Walter its a fine line mate , u say yer birds sick take it out the pannier/crate , they say. Are u a vet ? Yes if the bird looks a bit iffy then yes 100% get it out , but if its just being sick , travel sickness, and looks perky then I would say let it go , fk if my hen years ago was to taken out every time it was sick it would never of had a race ,it was mentioned back then that there might be some thing wrong with her , but after a few weeks of the same thing and it was in the clock a few times it was just a case of there's your bird being sick again, so the food was removed , then she won sartilly in club and 8th in the fed in a hard race think it was 1993. I'm sure .
-
I've seen birds do this for nearly 30 odd years in race panniers long before adenovirus , I had a gay pied hen years ago every time she traveled she was sick and I mean every time , she scored from sartilly 514 miles , nothing to worry about in old birds , different in youngsters in the height of the virus season .
-
No one notice the crate that never opened ? They were rushing about towards the end of video looking for a way to get it opened , still what a marvellous sight , never seen a live one , maybe one day .
-
Aye and keep clear of the raffles as well ,gives us all a chance of winning something . Johns brand new , says it as he sees it .
-
100% returns today ,first bird at 11 .54 not in clock till 12.01 came with 3 strays and wouldn't land , last one at 13.45 , winner in our club is at. 11.42. 9 miles short of me
-
Excuse me sir ? Utter nonsense ? Is/are the macalonies not just about the best sprint to middle distance fanciers in the uk ? Disny matter a fk who has there birds motivated they will need to be as good as their pigeons end of , I noticed they were 1st fed again last week then a good pigeon in uddingston. .in 2nd , I hear all this crap they are hitting the Lanarkshire fed at Coatbridge then breaking to their lofts , fkn tosh the best fastest / motivated pigeons are out in front , if you want to beat them then up yer game , but as I said in my last post location does help in earlier races once yer further out birds re few and far between ,so its a more equal race .
-
What a lot of tripe rab , the best/ best motivated pigeons win the races end of , yes location helps a BIT in early races , I will swap with anyone location wise in Kirky ,any takers ? ....???????????????

His bro is a member. Airdrie or airdrie 2
-
Ok that's a good way so you get buyers from all over not just that fed
-
Don't think so rab been informed that the guy that bought it flys in another fed . So as the dragons say I'm out .
-
Thanks mate mainly because its no in the pen ,u always find they go or nowt .
-
Come on lads nearly a week since yer sale ? I put in a youngster and still no one from the organisers have told me who bought it and for ow much ? Not the best way to run a sale IMHO .
