  3. Looks good for hardy Scottish pigeons today good luck
  4. You can use lemon juice ,but i prefer garlic oil ,just a splash and a put on the bw until all seeds are covered , great stuff geo , high in protien
  5. We take the first 4 in club as there is only. 4 prize tickets ,But if a fancier has more birds in then they don't appear in club result but get sent to fed , think we have the first 10 in west section , 10 in the east. Section , so if one fancier had any more than 10 clocked in any more after that are not needed. , I don't think u can deny any one a fed ticket .
  6. Chipboard flooring , scraper friendly , yes you could use silicone along joint ,or PVa wood glue , but to be honest you not need anything , just a block ,cutting of 4x2 to chap them together tight , oh and don't put Lino on your floor. IMHO

    Peregrine

I witnessed my youngsters getting chased by Percy after it stopped on them and missed ,from a standing start it caught up with them in seconds , I was told I was talking rubbish or it wasn't a peregrine . Hope them that ridiculed me back then look at this, n o b s .
  8. A wee tip from a joiner here , do the base frame in 4x2 instead of 3x2. Bouncing floor, , plus sheet the floor in 18 or 22 mm thick t@g chip board flooring 8x2 the treated stuff that means it does not need to be painted ,the big plus when scraping out it doesn't tear the veneer if it was ply , trust me , oh and the base frame get the tantalised / treated timber then you wouldn't need to paint that either . Also if you catch the strong winds where you are / the loft is anchor the loft down , the way I would recommend is when setting out your concrete blocks dig out a foundation approx 12/14 inches down and insert steel angle iron into the found at the four corners and fix the loft to this steel . Good luck
  9. What about a little less for the first race. Abingdon about 15/20 less than Newbury On the same line ,and I'm sure it's a lib site .

    Bad News

Sorry to hear tis big man ,as others have said hope he doesn't suffer . It's like times like this you should be able to take a pill and end it before you suffer to much .
  13. I could hear them over here letting birds race in that weather , hang the race controller. Would be one.

  15. We've used the Gerald'y crates for years now ,prob the first in Scotland to get them ,us glasgow and southl anarkshire , and yes they are brilliant well designed transporters yes they have air con , easy to keep clean , but comfort for pigeons , cardboard against. Deep shavings , I know what I would like to sleep in, but the condition of the birds returning from racing from Gerald'y transport is second to none , prob because they can see and get to the water easily. Plus remember the convoyers must do the job right .
  16. A hard race is a hard race , going on supposed better transport won't make the slightest bit of difference. As I've already posted once or twice I've noticed some of my birds have returned with their feet caked in sh_t and none of them a hold over , but that's in prob 6/7 years of racing , but it can happen ,it didn't when we used some easy bed. In the crates
  17. I've used bos, g10s, and layers , never noticed any difference ,so I would say any of them at a good price .
  18. I have raced in Gerald'y crates for years now an now and again the birds feet are matted with sheite , if there is a small scattering of easy bed then its much better but this in turn affects the watering system , clogs it up . Birds condition coming from races ? Undoughtedly far better thn wicker ones , they seem fresher prob because they have better access to water .
  19. This is where 99% of diseases come from , these country s have a lot to answer for , millions of deaths worldwide . You can see why .
  20. Don't see it a problem , surely the committee have the power to alter a race if the race point becomes unavaillable , but just hope for the birds sake the lib site has been looked at. Properly . Not just plucked out of the air .
  21. Wow I'm shocked , great wee guy is Andy , fk I'm supposed to be having a wee night out way him soon in uddingston . Hope it's not a health issue .
  22. Glasgow and south l anarkshire Feds are at Huntingdon on the 15 th June
