the bad thing was my son asked a senior member of staff for their emergency plan where were guests to go to muster .he just shrugged his shoulders and said I don't know .that's what u have to contend with when you go to these countries . they put the fire out ,it was mainly the side of the hotel ,a plane and helicopter was dropping water on it to put it out , they got back in later on . and yes they are ok thanks lads

my boys just phoned to tell us his hotel is on fire ,calles de Mallorca . gas canister blew up at side of hotel , their being loaded on to buses and taken away to safety , he managed to get their money and passports out his room as the hotel was up in flames expletive remove ,silly boy ran upstairs to get them .but no clothes or other belongings

bird belongs to jim woods son ,the bird has raced every week and was at the race last Saturday ,so well experienced ,was let out out loft last night and somehow ended up in port Glasgow , strange or what . I'm taking bird to work today in nitshill Glasgow to give it a good chance of getting back home .

quite agree del about waiting , but some had a great race , m.hughes at clocks 2pm had 20/23 ,morris bros 5/5 , ive lost 25%(9/12) matt luke had 12/16 so that's 25% lost so even at that its still a bad race return wise for us . the convoyer reported a great lib and birds were away in seconds heading home and in the right direction , so what happened after that ? yes danny another factor .ive been saying this for years now .

first race with Glasgow fed sent 25 got 21 home ,they had 17 tosses before race, had the dreaded ybs on the usual day Monday night after race , missed the second race because of ybs treatment, Saturday st boswells I sent just 12 as I was still think of the ybs , got 9 home , one ting I will say is anothet guy in club got the ybs the very same night after the first race , so how many of these birds in baskets are not healthy , even guys that think they are perfect (like I did with mine). just another reason why they didn't home , after our race I thought maybe mines just weren't over their problem ,maybe needed anothet week .

going by whats on here bill think most of us got it tight yesterday .its not pigeon racing now imho , well not the way it used to be anyway if u didn't have one off the first batch of birds then u where last .

had a bad on yesterday about 15 mins behind and only one from 12 for another 20 mins or so then they came up to 3.50 9/12 nothing since , not too unhappy after getting a bout of sickness after first race , all be it ony 6 birds went down with it , I stopped it in its tracks , and watties potion helped no end , made it up very strong and after 3/4 days they were back to normal .plus one main thing I done which I will keep to myself .

me too ,as you know alan ,but not a member of any club ,don't play enough to justify paying fees , are you off at weekends mate ? so we can get that game , prob about 12/14 handicap standard , single figure handicapper on a good day and 18/20 on a really bad day lol.

is this just a one race thing or is there build up races as all feds do like start at 60/70miles and step out ?

john I was only commenting on reims gold cup as that is the heading on thread ,and fanciers were talking about how bad it looked at lib site when liberating .
