  5. Think it all depends on who you speak to ,there's always someone who has a great race ,but it could be a terrible race overall .and about tow law can't remember a good race from there in our fed all that area is the same ,we call it the Bermuda Triangle . Go past it no probs go before it no probs ,but lib in it then yer f k d .
  6. The GB youngster is a Clydebank pigeon ,I'll let our secretary know .
  7. Can't beleive you guys can't /won't change for the sake of 1 the pigeons 2 members packing in 3 feeding the Hawks ,and there not all bad/ sick pigeons .i really feel for youse . Cheers Stuart
  8. That's good returns rab ?
  9. Geo once Feds get down to about 250 miles there's plenty transport lying about gathering dust there could be young bird races / tosses on the same day and stop before the Percy young come out to hunt .
  10. I have this book somewhere ,but would need to look for it ,but I'm afraid I've not got time to sh it never mind look for a book ,sorry but if I come across it u can have it .
  11. Bang on Andy ,will it happen ? Doubt it tooooooooo much money comes from in lands .and I'm afraid money talks .
  12. Money comes into it here ,the snfc need the income from federations ,there lies one problem ,inferior birds going the the best hardest races , I know their not allowed in the gold cup ,but in other races its part of fed programs .To me a national should be from over seas one at around 450 one around 500 and one around 550 to central belt , let the Feds take care inland races . Jmho .
  13. Sorry lads but I agree with Phil here , I put the phone number rings on all of mine ,apart from a number of years ago when I had a flyaway. Got 3 reported out of 12 lost ,since then spent plenty on them never had one (apart from the one below)reported ,buy them at 100 at a time does me nearly 3years ,I've had one guy local to me have one of my youngsters in lost it as a 5week old squeaker he phoned me nearly 3 weeks later saying he just got it in , I went got it ,kept it in a few days ,let it out and straight back to him like a bullet . Ps he has a dark loft and the baby had started to lose lots of feathers (moult) .obviously he's had it in and never noticed it ,expletive remove it was a light cheq pied ,very much like de smaradg 11 (spelling ) with a red phone number on its leg . Amazing they can miss it in their loft . So yes there are guys out there that don't know their birds some couldn't tell the front from the back of one never mind know if any of them are theirs , just do a head count .

    Bird Of Prey ?

Bang on Danny ,but looked like brown wings but black primary's .and before any smart comments about my sight , I have very good long sight ,although need reading glasses . And Paul not as big as an eagle but it's head did the way it stood over its prey like tipi toe looking down at it if you know what I mean ?arry Light coloured under wings and yes a shortish tail .this is the bigger one I seen fly over not the other one in the field
  17. Wullie we are racing east and I just said to my wife a while ago ,this isn't pigeon racing ,not like it used to be ,especially young birds everybody in within minutes of each other ,even at 100 miles it's like a 500 miler expletive remove .im sitting with 9/17 from an 8am lib an hour behind and strung out all day ,birds fit healthy and trained , don't know what else I can do . Just spent a few quid on new birds and have been thinking why did I do that ,I could have had a nice holiday way that money .

    Bird Of Prey ?

Looked more like an eagle 'big bold head . I've seen a Harris hawk up close a few years back ,but not sure if they were living wild in my area . Also seen the big big hawk fly over tonight carrying something underneath ,the seagulls were harassing it a bit but not too close . Buzzard like but much bigger and light coloured under its wings . Could this be a osprey ? It came from river heading up to the moors ?

    Bird Of Prey ?

It was near looking directly at road it had a dark head brown body and dark /black flights
  20. What kind of bop is black and brown ? A bit bigger than a crow ? I was thinking a Harris hawk ? Anyone ? This was spotted in a field right across the Clyde from dunbarton Rock eating something ,I was on outside lane on motorway so couldn't stop for better look or to see what it was eating .crows were all sitting round it close enough but far enough away sort of thing waiting on any scraps .hense a bit bigger than them ?
  21. Great pic James .brill at that age ,it's when they go in and let birds out etc not so good lol.
