  1. very good dougie that made me chuckle a bit , all the best and remember aboot roads and rome mate
  2. wit flyin an hour morn /night dont be daft dougie come on now . i agree yearlings get over excited but not a chance they will burn themselves out only doing this . the only prob i see is when he opens the loft they should be down and in ,but they will learn (might take a few weeks but they will get there.
  3. kev dont listen to these guys that say they will burn themselfs out ,what flying for an hour -hour and half morn and night( poppycock ),this to me is only an indication that they are A1 mate ,all they need to do is learn the system ,as you said its mostly yearlings so they will learn just watch in a week or two .DONT CHANGE A THING ,except no flying friday . good luck mate .

    Scalped doo

this is one of the lucky ones aly , something must have disturbed the bustard of its meal .
  9. same here in the west of scotland heavy rain with strong winds ,just noticed on the bbc that the weather is to be good wed/thur/fri and warming up to 14 degrees on friday our fed training starts saturday so hope it stays the same might get them out for a spin at the weekend .
  10. no probs mate as i have said ets is here and here to stay i just wish there could be a commitee set up to sort the rulesw good and proper ,and prob more of us non believers would get it installed .winning small club/fed races used to be my thing but done that won that got the tee shirt so now only interested in the national races from france .
  11. not kris boyd his pet giant doo he bought in belgium ,i heard all about it today .
  12. how the fk can you clock a bird conventionaly as quick as ets dont be daft now . and i dont have stall traps my birds enter through bobs into loft and are usually caught at the drinker or in nest box to be clocked and everytime if the bird is drinking i wait till its finnish before picking it up . i could not care less about ets im onlt interested in long distance races where you have to have a bird with mine to beat me with your ets and most times most are well behind mine .
  13. i also heard that tam aka king billy had his pet (boydy) with him at the pub ? anyone wanting to add something ?
  14. yes rose correct this is why i wont get ets ,not until its all sorted out and fair to everyone .
  15. how would you like the rpra to bring in a rule that you must catch your pigeon and scan the bird to clock it ,it would be a fair way on par with conventional clocking would it not ?
  16. i think the wording of this rule is still iffy , let me explain , no 1 manual clocking to clock a bird first you have to catch the bird ,take off rubber either put in thimble or straight to clock ,so if you can catch the bird then it must be in the loft or caught in the stall trap (so has dropped into stall trap) ,correct? no2 ets birds lands on board walks towards trap (before bobs) if you like looks in clocks turns away and is not in the confines of the loft is it ? THE RULE IS THERE FOR ALL TO SEE (and most know exactly what it means )BUT SOME WANT TO EXPLOIT IT JMO
  17. i was talking to king billy the day he wiz oot for a swally and tryin tae coax ma wee pal jim cullen to go oot way him ,but jim declined ;D ;D ;D

    old birds

sorry could not have put it better mate young and old no in between.
  22. 100% correct mate but some out there still want more of an advantage ,me i dont realy care about it i just fight for the boys that want to compete at the shorter races and it all to be fair ,where the ets is at the long races dont really matter as you need to get a bird home before you can clock it , but the early ones and the very fast ones a second could make the difference between winning and 7th ,hope you have a wonderfull season mate . cheers stuart

    old birds

no probs ya bass,a ye hid me goin there . not long before the big OFF . for old birds that is or is it yearlings ;D ;D ;D
  24. martin i dont think they need to go through bobs as long as they go inside the loft ,but some of these so called ets traps are put on front of loft and birds are clocked before actually going inside ,like a sputnik trap if a bird drops through into the board inside then as far as im concerned its in the loft ,no probs , but some clock their birds in and they are standing looking in instead of being in if you know what i mean.
  25. absolute bull $hit ,when a race is very tight every second counts an i do mean every second and now with ets every milli second counts ,so i cant beleive for a minute you think by having a ets pad on a landing board as apposed to inside any type of trap wont change some race results . roland your spot on mate A BIG WELL DONE TO THE RPRA . i hope other unions follow suit .
