dont want to hijack the thread but i feel i have to enter a post ,we (renfrewshire fed) were one of the last if not the last to leave the old west route to follow all other feds to the eastern race points ,that last year i hardly lost any old birds and won quite a lot ,yet when we switched i lost most of my experienced old bird team that had won and won well down the west WHY ?

why ? cracking lads and fliers as well ,sad to see top fanciers leave the sport.

are u boys packin in or is it a reduction sale ?

i dont think its west coast john more central south ,but hey with a record like that

its not eggs mate but tiny lice/tics mate when birds are roosting lift a bird hold its wing up to a light very quickly and u will see them scurrying back to safety of the quill. spray the flights till it soaks into the quill that will kill them they might still be there but will fall out eventually

hypotheticaly this is avery good idea yet none of the or only 1 or 2 have posted so as u can c blaz no one/most dont want to race together bar one or two of us .and ther is a lot logged on as well . afraid maybe ?

if say the snfc dropped the ypres race out of its race program (as some are talking about),why not from there,could hold a sale to get funds together to get it up and running get a sponser ? .

just a quick reply to this post ,the infc has members of both the rpra and the ihu and has done for years with no probs . surely its up to the members to decide and they DID DECIDE FAIR AND SQUARE IN 2009 end of , to answer the origonal question i cant c it for the forseeable future , the first step in my opinion is to transport to one race together have a seperate result , members of both could dublicate into each race therefore uping the birdage so to speak .

i think the roman catholic church is very inconciderate ,i cant get to work on thursday (losing £ 300/400) supposed to be fitting windows in cardonald ( 1 TO 2 MILES FROM BELLAHOUSTON PARK),could they not do this THING ON A SUNDAY ,KILL TWO BIRDS WITH THE ONE STONE SO TO SPEAK,OR ARE THE TIC PLAYING ON SUNDAY.

stevie just because a bird is sick in the transporter doesnt mean its got ybs ,lots of birds will be sick during transporting to the race point or between pick ups at clubs .travelsickness its called

ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON and of course theres the bop taking out the tired ones trying to home after flying 100,s of miles the other way .staurday for north road and either friday or sunday for south road feds this would sort it out im sure

bruce mackenzie has had some fantastic results from both the y/b nationals (snrpc and snfc)for the last few years so it would be of no surprize if brucey won it,if so well done another win for dundee after big john duthie in the snfc gold cup.i think it was not an easy race going by some members i spoke to .

andy if it was atmospherics that caused the bad returns then why have our fed had a great /brilliant race on the same day and i think ayrshire had a good race as well ? somethin else must have caused it jmo. its the same as people say its the mobile phones so when we get a good race is no one using there phones that day. its simple BOP when they strike at lib or soon after the get scattered to the all corners of the country

AFTER READING THESE HORENDOUS REPORTS i think we the glasgow fed were lucky today as most have nearly 100% returns ,me i have 25/25 in their 1st race from dunbar around 83 miles .after all that happened today i might just put them bye for 2011.OH AND we had the seagulls here today in there thousands mostly black headed gulls duckin and divin the birds were very spooked i had one that would not come to the loft he circled then beggered off came back then ofski again this happened 5 or 6 times then feked off for nearly 2 hrs until the sky was clear

we the glasgow fed have had a few bad one over the years from kelso , but in saying theat we have had some great ones as well ,sounds as if percy and his mates have had a go at your birds soon after lib .hope lots more turn up
