I voted for versele laga ,but at the moment the supplier has stopped buying it in,he has now started to sell Vanrobaeys which is very nice but also very dear.No other option because of prices and I like the feed, is to use Bamfords. Lindsay.

Hi Paul, a few years back I use to visit a a good friend of mine called Raymond Imgrham (only 3 mile away),a good pigeon man but better with the microscope.He had a cracking set up aswell as the coffe and biscuits,he done swabs, cultures and dropping tests etc.His opinion on hexamita was to use a liquid canker treatment rather than tablets.Gary Spavin took his business over when Raymond moved down Country.A big loss to the bird men around here because he done all types of birds. Sorry you're giving up mate,it's the same in this area with peregrines and it won't be long to a few more good lads say enough's enough.The RPRA and such as likes can do as many serveys as they want,it won't stop them perigrines killing our birds. A while ago there was a program on TV where they were training pigeons to pick at orange coloured items to be fed.They then took this a stage further and put the pigeon in a pod under plane and used the pigeon to look for life rafts,when the pigeon saw the orange object it stated to pick at what I don't know, somehow there was some sort of set up that would advise the crew that the pigeon had seen something. I always use orange tubs to get my birds in,doesn't make any difference but I had a few of them at the right size. Lindsay

Hi Dave ,there's always a number that catches your eye for some reason and a young bird that catches your eye aswell.My late father use to say to me "I don't want to know because we'll just loose it".I still do it though,haven't got rings yet ,I'm sure one or two will stick out. Lindsay.
