  7. There's been a hawk round my place for about three year,it looks like a kestrel hovers like a kestrel but about twice the size of a kestrel ,the pigeons never even look at it and better still it doesn't look at the pigeons.The one in the video to my eyes is too big for a kestrel ??. Lindsay

  9. A word of warning,I would advise against using barley straw,it has a tendancy to go mouldy when the birds are sitting.Wheat straw far better. Lindsay
  10. I like them to have a bath in the morning,gives them chance to dry out,preferably on a sunny day,but that's for my benifit,won't leave them on there own.They bath in an old sconce ,it's 36" x 20" x 2"deep.A drop of condis in the water to keep the nasties away. Lindsay.

  16. Done that with my old loft,It was an aeroplane engine crate 16x6x7.covered the floor with 6mm. marine ply.no probs. Lindsay
  17. Secretary fee in our club is nothing and he does a good job aswell, at our AGM I asked if we could afford a 20% rise it was passed unanimously and the sec bought everyone a drink.I think he was out of pocket. Lindsay.

  19. Good idea Bob,IMO best thing for the new rings is the bin,how many birds have you had with broken legs,these rings are ideal for doing the job.Read somewhere that the chips for them are £1:30 each at the moment and likely to go up,any one else heard anything Lindsay.
  20. Last nights snow as gone,now very cold and damp.
  21. NOTE. the old wooden Benzine can only be used if you have it registered,this came in a few years ago and you were issued a certificate for that clock.I don't tink they can be sold on for use. Lindsay
