    Couriers

highflyers are a joy to deal with.
  2. Avoid the "popular" strains that with the big price tags.
  3. From the day you pair up, All being well, how long would you generally expect to wait before you see the first egg?
  4. She will get a pinch of red band and a little honey in the water. Bunch of flowers from me, which you pay over the odds for but rather that then a few months of ear ache
  5. Lot 14 £50 Thanks Ian
  6. Fantastic achievements and amazing looking birds. Well done mate.
  7. Has anyone seen this film? I had never heard of it until I watched it online today. A pigeon fancier is briefly talking in his loft and just curious as to who this might be. Birds look fantastic and nice setup so guessing someone known rather then a loft set-up just for filming purposes. Any ideas lads?
  8. Man united were lucky to get a draw with Cambridge last nite. Now Swansea have lost to Blackburn! Gotta say without Bony now Swansea look like broken men and perhaps they (and we) didn't realise how much the one guy was carrying the team. Lets hope for a few more upsets so we can see the big dogs get done over by the under dogs!
  9. I had a look at this gear at another lads house. Smells a lot like tea tree oil to me. Contains 2% oregano oil (or 10% for their other gear) and a carrier. I'm guessing it is the 2% or 10% oregano oil you are paying for (which would make this product massively expensive for what you are actually getting).
  10. That sounds like a great idea! Someone needs to write to the BHW and suggest it... There are so many places that would be capable of holding such an event and would be grateful for the business.
  11. Nice one TC. Will have a watch later.
  12. I had a nightmare with Pallats. Ordered some stuff and they sent me different stuff without being agreed. Also one bag turned up half empty and the courier company had put the remains in a solid plastic box and it was covered in dust and crap so obviously been swept off a floor. I took pics and emailed pallats and they didnt even reply even though they had read the email. Called em also but not interested in doing anything to fix the issue. Wont ever use em again. Had a much better experience with www.sturmanscornandseed.co.uk and would highly reccomend them.
  13. Morning lads. Another cold one today!
  14. Good job fella and well done to the owner too.
  15. Hi Guys, My brother managed to get a lot of bitumen paint from where he works, so decided to go with using that for the back and sides. Very happy with it, forms a nice rubbery sort of finish and no doubt will keep things nice and dry. Getting behind it wasn't so much fun (especially after all them mince pies at Christmas...) Now as I have so much of this gear left over. I am tempted to coat the roof too (currently has felt on it but not the greatest quality) so keen to do what I can to prolong the life of it. My question is, if I coat the roof in this stuff. Come summer will the loft get too hot??? (Remember this bitumen paint is black). Any info/guidance much appreciated. Cheers, Pete
  16. Haha maybe next time lads.
  17. Woke up to sort the birds out before work and saw this little fella lurking around the garden! Would usually shoot any intruders hanging around the loft and have them for supper but this one was a beauty! Sorry for the crap picture quality (taken on the phone)
  18. Just curious about peoples thoughts on this. I know a lot of people like a loft that isn't too deep as it is believed to make the birds tamer/less wild. But on the other hand more space = more air. In your ideal widowhood cock loft how deep would you make it?
  19. Cheers lads. Can't wait to get going for 2015 as will be my 1st year racing. I used to dream about Brazilian and Spanish women but now have dreams about batches of YB's all arriving together from a race haha That is good news Joe and good on Walter for looking after his pal. Hope they breed you some goodun's
  20. Have a good one Archie and thanks for all your hard work this year making this site as enjoyable and useful as it is.
  21. Lol at least that way you cant fail haha. Myself gonna try and drink less and train harder haha
  22. Ok lads, who makes resolutions for the new year and what are they?
  23. Cheers for the info lads. Yeah is for the back Tony, little worried about dampness from the back and roof also so looking to coat or cover with something so just weighing up the options at the minute.
  24. Greenlands, this idea makes a lot of sense. Am thinking to do the back and roof of my loft with these as worried about dampness. Would I be ok to nail gun these boys on or would you suggest they get screwed in?
  25. Am baby sitting tonight for the wee man so will probably be in bed by 10pm haha. Hope you all have a good night and wishing you all a good 2015 in health & happiness both. May your glasses be full and your eggs be fertile
