I'm working just 13 miles from the Kettering racepoint today and tomorrow. Very grey and gloomy here and had very light rain earlier. Visibility poor also.

High Flyers couriers are the best around by a country mile. Not the cheapest, if you want the cheapest go to walkers transport. But they are awful and if you are lucky enough to have your bird kept in their mixed holding pens be prepared to treat for a whole range of things when you get the bird to your place.

Looking good Alf. With the engine oil as a coating/sealant...How long would you expect that to last before you have to re coat it?

Those coroline sheets are ideal and will last a long long time however they are not cheap. If you need a quick and easy fix go to the Screwfix website and search for the "No Nonsense Water Repellent" sealant. £15 for 5 litres and you can coat anything, wood, brick, felt, cement etc etc. It is amazing stuff and you just brush it on in minutes, no fuss. As a quick fix should sort your problem for a year plus then you can just re-coat as/when the problem returns.

Hey Joe tried to call ye earlier but no answer mate. This is crazy talk mate can't be doing this. Why not just do away with the stock birds and keep the racers? Less birds to focus on and more birds/time purely for racing?! Would be a very sad thing if you did pack up mate. One of the kindest and most generous fellas around on this website or generally. Like Derek rightly said, Think it through a few weeks mate before you commit to it. Would be genuinely gutted to see you pack it all in. Don't make me come up there and drink your whiskey and talk ye out of this pal.

Loft pedigree software, who uses a system to keep track of their birds on the computer? If you do, what do you use and what do yo like or hate about the system you use. Looking to buy a system and keen to get any feedback from any of you boys who have already used one and have experience with one. Cheers, Pete

Cheers mate, was a massive turn out. Had me shocked. The area it was in called Katowice apparently is a proper working class (old school) area and every street has a couple of fanciers in it. I spoke to one young lad there he said his club had just over 120 members! Amazing. If I could speak the lingo and move my job there I would in a heartbeat. I got some other pictures for when I pop down next mate. This year did clash mate, hopefully next year won't and we can get a gang over there. It was awesome mate. Have a think about coming next year and we can try get Wiley & Tony C on board too!
