That must be the reason. I'll have to get bigger envelopes.

The Forfar Racing Pigeon Club are holding their Breeder - Buyer young bird sale in the Forfar Clubroom on Sunday 17th April starting at 1.00 pm. Top class youngsters on sale from club members and fanciers from the Angus and Dundee area. Unfortunately our sale clashes with a minor cup semi final and the SFA have refused our request to delay the kick off.

We got ours there last year and they seem to be ok. They said if we were not satisfied they would replace them.

It is with great sadness that I report the sudden death of Theo, aged seventeen, son of Ken and Fiona Droog. He had suffered from asthma from a young age and passed away following an asthma attack on Wednesday. Theo was a member of Forfar RPC in partnership with his dad and loved helping Ken with the pigeons. He also enjoyed their trips to Blackpool and Doncaster shows. Sincere condolences to Ken, Fiona and family. David & Alison Liddle

Just had a look at my federations rings and they look OK to me. I compared them to a 2010 ring which I think was from the old supplier and the only difference I can see is the overall external diameter is very slightly smaller which I think is because the metal part is thinner. As far as the price goes ring sales have been a major part of the SHU income for as long as I have been a delegate and as Andy says if the mark up is reduced the shortfall would have to be addressed by an increase in subs or in some other way. However the prices of rings etc are voted on at the AGM which all members can attend and vote

No need to change unless there is a problem with site at Clermont. Why has Littlehampton been proposed? Nothing wrong with Portsmouth last year

So where is the most favourable position in a federation

Yes I am aware it is 2015 and yes I have 2016 rings in my capacity as federation secretary but in view of recent events it may well be the last time

"We" are not getting rings in 2015. As you are obviously unaware I am secretary of my federation. I spent my Sunday attending the SHU council meeting and AGM and collected my federations rings from Linda Brooks. I will probably spend part of my Christmas holiday sorting the rings out and will no doubt have someone phoning looking for rings around the 2nd of January. If you are not happy with the situation get your delegates to raise it at the SHU or better still go to the AGM yourself. I would be quite happy to get the rings sent out after new year and sorting them at my leisure. I assure you none of my members will have rings before 1st January. By the way only eight federations were represented at yesterday's meeting and only ONE other member could be bothered turning up for the AGM. Apathy rules !!! Rant over
