think if you put a pot of beans or peas in the box when yb hatch it does not matter what your feeding use to be you wanted at least 18 to 20 percent protein for breeding in a mix but if you give them the protein high feed beans or peas in the box it should not matter what your mix is my best tip for rearing healthy yb is plenty kilpatricks black minrals tried others but thay crave for the kilpatrick stuff if its the salt there after as some say they have the balance just right imo

plenty time for the hen to lay yet joe ive had hens not lay for weeks after the rest have went down if she is barren its a loss in the breeding but you gain with them racing as you can set them up perfect and there keen as mustered you can kid them with dummies live eggs and a younster to which they race great but as i say she could lay yet some hens are just slower than others to lay m8 great feeders

looks great john but we word of warning because there is little or no overlap i found the wooden sputnics rot very quick i had to replace with plastic ones on my loft thats not got a big overlap thats if they are wood m8 mines only lasted three seasons yet the ones on my big loft which has a 2 ft overlap are still fine after 11 years

been doing a wee job at shawlands and watched a falcon hunting everyday between 11 30 and 2 30 its attacking birds at the top of larkhall saw it get one monday and wed it comes over from the blackwood or truckstop area tried to give it some food but it missed it needs some help before training starts guys from that area beware as its there everyday someones birds must be going missing

ive rung them at 15 days andy but this pair had real big feet and the rings are smaller i think unless its these pellets im using lol never mind got someone in mind for them my loss

check your yb at 6 days shasha the rings are really small any with big feet at 7 or 8 days your in trouble m8
