  1. yes lets hope its Ypres and a gold cup race we can get plenty of inland races from the fed
  2. i got some on friday andy takes about 3 weeks to come ordered by phone
  3. just my opinion but i think people are interpreting the rule wrong as far as im concerned the rule is you can travel up to 5 miles to your training van or transporter to get your birds loaded for training and im sticking to that as that is how i read it and would quote if stopped but im passing police everyday and they can see the birds and have never bothered us think our biggest problem is guys trying to stir it and make problems that are not there
  4. guys there are now hundreds of fanciers training in Scotland and no one is being stopped the government and police are not out looking for pigeon men training or racing pigeons being careful and using their common sense to stay safe its the idiots going to parks and beeches to drink and mess about they are after if we just go about our business and be seen to be careful with masks and distancing i dont think anyone will bother us but as usual pigeon men cant agree on the colour of s t
  5. Happy Birthday Seona see you Saturday

no me john lol great news and thankyou for the info was hope ing for two channel races but getting the goldcup is better than nothing in these difficult times lets hope things continue to improve and please thank Bill for the youngster for me
  8. i agree dell but what would be the point of 4 200 mile races time SNFC and SNRPC was letting the members know there thoughts as we are all in limbo untill they give us something to work with
  9. dont like to knock anyone trying to help the fancy andy but i tried this stuff for two years and still got it m8 in fact this year is the first in 15 years i have not needed to cull any youngbirds touch wood but ybs is a small word being used for lots of problems with our youngsters
  10. i agree old pal but the sprint boys are desperate to get a load of 60 milers
  11. training is training imo we do not go near anyone else and lib in remote places racing or training wheres the problem
  12. great news so whats the plan now are we racing old birds or just youngbirds as no point in training old birds that are not going to get racing and what is the plan with the SNFC are we channel racing or not or are we putting national racing back a month and taking it from there all things we need to know now so we know how to proceed in our own lofts
  13. i think thats exactly it no point in speculating and giving false hope when SHU get the word im sure we will to
  14. got to agree with you roland
  15. better than a two metre pole george lol and plenty time to make something that will work and keep us safe as for social distancing thats been going on for years in most clubs after they get there birds through they bugger off so we will see what happens everyone who can will have to do there bit dont mind helping anyone but not made a fool of
  16. first and foremost everyone must have masks and visors if possible and marking will have to start much earlier as it will take much longer to mark the birds with less men doing the work what about knocking up a frame the size of a table with perspex or similar for ets the marker can be on one side with the base station and man reading it on the other with small hole to pass clock through with the same idea for rubbers with hole cut for ringer the man ringing the birds takes the rubber off the tab and passes the rubber though a small hole to the man carrying the birds who puts it over the ringer and the man at the table pushes the ringer open the carrier then goes and takes a bird from the basket and gets it rung puts the bird in race basket while guy at the table writes the tag on the pool sheet the carrier then is past and fits another rubber before bringing the next bird just some ideas guys and not hard to do what your thoughts
  17. well they should be reported and suspended jamie ive a load of latebreds im desperate to train but i will not break the law flagging them twice a day just now to keep them in shape but they need trained was lucky to get a couple of tosses before lockdown think old bird racing is pie in the sky now but if i can race my latebreds with the youngbirds ill be happy
  18. correct colin and if need be the SNFC could move all national channel races back one month just as the feds are doing if need be drop the inland races or just have one plenty of options depending on when or if lockdown is lifted but just like the feds SNFC should have a plan B JMO
  19. i would george and if the feds are not down far enough ill take them myself thats what i keep them for m8
  20. once we are out of lockdown wonder if the SNFC will revise there race program
  21. you guys are welcome anytime enjoyed the blether good luck to you both racing into one of the hardest places in Scotland
