well done John and Hugh what a great start these two guys deserve every accolade to see the work they put in to the birds is unreal 87 year old john in the loft at six every morning birds out lofts cleaned from top to bottom drinkers cleaned and filled Hugh in his late seventies with serious heath problems takes over baskets birds for training and takes them away builds nestboxes paints the lofts inbetween his operations and radium treatment what an inspiration to any fanciers never mind new starts these two men are. nothing gets them down 100 percent dedication guys this is what you have to beat if you want to win you must put the work and time into your birds ps and thats only the first race theyll be back brilliant stuff so pleased for them both

John King and Hugh Marten taking the first four in his club and pools John was 87 on monday come on the Auld guys lol

it was always going to be a very fast race guys we are racing out the north east in a north east wind so its a double tail wind if you like but still a bit faster than i thought i hate dunbar as a race point personally as we have found when we race or train from there our birds break from the north east for weeks after but today the wind helped our case as the winning birds came out the south lets hope we get to hexham at the weekend

sounds good to me tommy when will we know if kelso is on or not ps you did the right thing imo m8 but a wee toss on the way home would have been ok was good here nearly all day but well done for trying to get us a race

lets hope we go to Hexham on Wednesday instead of kelso but forcast not great again

looking forward to our first race this morning sent the lot 40 old birds and 24 latebreds birds were in good order but that means nothing my gold cup birds home safe and good returns ill be happy good luck guys
