good to see the Basics Disco back on again

i am sorry you mis-understood my statement . my attitude is not an inflexible one , far from it . i would happily race young alongside old or at a different time of year if it were put in place . i wouldnt however , as the original post suggest "keep them for a year" just train to race them for a 3 month period the following year . hope my reply to you Robert has cleared that up , regards , andy

the show is on every year , Mrs Brooks from the SHU is often there promoting the sport and the birds. weve had our white birds released as part of the display too . we normally go down to see it and ive seen race birds flying through during the display . they arent affected at all .

look out , just seen 12 or 15 old birds low and slow heading West ?

well thats a "fate tempter" if ever there was one i have 20 in my youngbird team . a few more than i intended , theyve had 2 chucks so far and will race as long as the feathering allows (natural) .
