Im over in DUBLIN and the amount of stray youngbirds arround is crazy......ive had 4 in this week one from wexford one from northern ireland and two from dublin..............something is not right in their heads all were in great condition. i got the 2 local one back home waiting on the other two owners to contact me.

Ive had 3 tosses at 14 miles and 3 at 19 miles..........all on their own. nowhere near ready yet another week of training and take it from there.

How many tosses and how far would you give before your first race.

Louella do some lovely white and grizzle roland jansenns plus other white and grizzle strains.........very cheap and you could buy 2 pair and breed yourself a couple of rounds of youngbirds.

I think its mainly stress that brings on youngbird sickness.darkness ,training, feeding light picking arround the gutters and when the temps rise it rears its head......

How many off here have sent to the gold cup today.......... about how many birds will be competing .

Over here in IRELAND we have the same problems..............training getting attacked every toss sparrow hawk attacks arround the loft....ive 2 broken up today 1 missing and another one that came back bruised from during the week ...........something has got to be done to control the over population of both of these bop

We have 15 members, most weeks arround 13 members race anything up to 350 birds a week maybe more in youngbird racing......in the fed up to 14,ooo birds some weeks.

Who off here uses the feeding from matador..........do any of the long distance men use this.

A big thank you to george baird and eddie robin for getting my birds down to blackpool. i bought 1 at the boxing fundraiser and jimmy cullen kindly sent down a 2nd one . it was nice to meet eddie for a chat thanks again...........

Numerous fanciers to choose from, i was at the marking for one of the national races last season. it was like a whos who of top scottish fanciers.really impressed with the big wicker crates with a couple of inches high in shavings. i was over visiting friends and dropped by to see the marking.
