anyone off here have any info about inporting birds from america into the uk or Ireland and if so what would be the cost.........

i feed a yb no maize nix and add extra maple peas to it.... once the ybs are full i offer a normal breeding mix to the parents. this is for them not the ybs.

Over here in Dublin i still havent got mine....wasnt on the delivery sheet either..............something must have happened at the printing plant to many people havent got theirs.............

I bought a few pairs off a guy in the uk selling ( WHITE LOGANS )... I STARTED USING THEM FOR FUNERALS AND WEDDINGS AND THEY MORE THAN PAID FOR THEIR KEEP.........GUYS KEPT ASKING ME FOR THEM AND I GAVE A FEW AWAY. THEN THEY CAME BACK AGAIN SO I STARTED TO SELL A FEW. THEY LOOKED SO WELL I STARTED TO SEND A FEW TO THE RACES WITH MY OWN .. ON STEADY DAYS THEY WERE ALWAYS IN THE FIRST FEW HOME AND ONCE CAME TO WIN BUT FLEW ARROUND FOR 2 MINS AND CAME 2ND.......SADLY NEARLY ALL GONE NOW BAR AN OLD COCK THAT RETURNED AFTER A FEW YEARS...........

The first pigeon i got to fly from france into dublin was a newman cattrysse..........it was a few weeks late but i was over the moon he got home . he was 2nd club from talbenny a few weeks earlier..........i remember him well he was a lovely black splashed mealy cock.

Its a good show about the same size as the dublin show.............catering is costly but mc donalds just down the road.......night life great.

THE SPORT IN BELGIUM IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TO THE WAY THE UK AND IRELAND RACE ... THEY JUDGE THEIR BIRDS DIFFERENT THAN WE DO..THEY VALUE THEIR ACE BIRDS OVER A WINNING BIRD...........A BIRD THAT TRYS EACH WEEK AND WINS THE POOLS REGULAR IS A FAR BETTER PIGEON IN THEIR EYES THAT A ONE HIT WONDER.... I WAS AT ONE LOFT AND ASKED HIM TO SHOW ME HIS WINNERS.. HE SEARCHED HIS LOFT AND POINTED OUT 1 BIRD.....BUT THEN TOLD ME ABOUT THE ACE BIRDS THAT SCORED REGULAR AND WON MONEY.

Where do the members go to get their birds droppings tested............im looking at getting a culture test for paratyphoid done before next seasons breeding.........

Its the time of year mice start to invade our sheds and lofts........... i reset all my traps a few weeks back and layed fresh poison in bait stations arround the loft (birds cant get near the poison)... checked all the traps nothing in any of them . then checked the bait stations and one had been visited. so put your traps and poison down before they become a problem........

i cleaned and left about 20 solid eggs in a jug in the back garden.........magpies think there real and carried one over my house roof ........

mine is weaning the first round of youngbirds over............worst is waiting for the moult to finish
