All depends on choice two 15 mile tosses a day imo are better than one 30 mile all depends on time money and weather

your better feeding twice a day , get yourself a routeen and stick to it , then your birds will know what's happening and when . Wind fer me was northerly and bitterly cold if you've got yearlings they like temp 10 degrees or above , heres a tip if you've got a gadget bar install weatherbug it shows wind and temperature .

water bombing newly broke pigeons might not be the best of ideas they might decide to bomb back to where they last felt safe at the old home , you should be asking yourself questions to why there not exercising (1) perhaps there gaining there surroundings at there new home and getting use to where there home is (2) Are they too fat ??? (3) are you feeding too much ??? (4) are you feeding too little ?? (5) was it windy ??? was the wind north or north easterly and what was the temperature ???? Above are a few examples , I was told to think like a pigeon , find what makes them tick and your half way there , the rest is common sense

At just over 3 weeks old they can feed themselves some quicker than others some slower of course , at no point would anyone remove a yb from there parents if weren't fit to fend for themselves , but obviously D.E.F.A has got it wrong yet again but then again most of there information will be from vets / unions and the head of one been from the old pals club and not a racing man no wonder this vaccination / sales information is sketchy and may need further research by DEFRA , imo 2 months old would be soon enough to Vaccinate ybs , and why does this only apply to Racing birds theres nothing covering fancy birds at sales from what i understand , these be more risk than the offspring of vaccinated birds which would have some immunity from there parents

so basically ybs would be ideally 5 week old for sales however they'd be classed by most strong on the wing by then ????

our first race point is usually either Sleaford or Newark both good race points

Was discussing this with kirky the other day , i believe theres two schools of thought here vets say vaccinate after 6 weeks if thats the case then there too young to be vaccinated for young bird sales as only just over 3 weeks old ???????

Only had this happen once before a hen laid an egg whilst flying , needless to say had to dispose of it as insides had come out with egg , i think they become barren afterwards , but i guess from the mess at the back end they'd probably die from infection

breed yer own , had hooded rats before make good pets and don't take much breeding

Well am knackered all Kirky's birds sold in an hour , had a great day Was a lot busier this year than last year so a bit of improvement
