are they full of water ????
-
read your other thread : weak eggs due to lack of calcium or sitting to tight
-
put a drop of sand and fine sawdust in the bottom of there nest bowl , ensure the birds are not fat before laying and have plenty of calcium , this will ensure good strong eggs , to ensure you birds are fat free this is what i do put them on barley fer at least two weeks before pairing , you could slip dummy's under to enable the diet , i also juice 4 carrots with one orange, i add the juice to the water and top up , the pulp i mix with the barley along with brewers yeast this will remove any fat . On the Calcium front i often mix a bit of grit in the birds feed before breeding and also add live natural yoghurt to water when cool weather in warm weather i add to the barley with pink minerals and brewers yeast . This is my start to breeding and getting good eggs that are strong . Moving back to the sand and fine sawdust in bottom of nest bowl this will prevent deformities in the keel by supporting the bird and as long has good grit minerals and a good feed you should breed healthy birds

Welcome to Pigeon Basics Alan , we hope you enjoy the site , I've raced yearlings up to 526 miles however I think better to race up to 360 miles and hang on to them and let them mature 2 year olds 400 mile 3 year plus 500+ miles as for feeding that's down to personal choice I like a good Super widowhood mix

Bops come low and on line to strike so if at either end of your loft that's not a path your birds are going to take as they land as there looking to enter the loft not strike along it , as Billy was saying he saw the direction the bop took over top of fence i was giving him a way of protecting his birds , I had one bird taken last year when first let them out i bought my netting but not had any strikes as birds on lock up however if i was to be targeted again I have my washing line and pea - netting at the ready , but it does work

No one be better off the rich get richer , i doubt that would cover the hike in fuel or cost of daily living as we all know petrol goes up food goes up , Conservatives have always been good at giving you a crumb with one hand and taking a full loaf of bread with other . Unfortunately we live in a pyramid economy eventually all money goes back from the base back to the bankers at top , unfortunately these pyramids should be replaced with active volcanoes so when we are doing good we all should be rewarded instead of the few bankers and company fat cats sitting on fortunes which the masses have made it should be used and filtered down to the hard workers at the bottom and those less well off , If the government closed the big tax havens off we wouldn't be in this mess to start with , the bankers are making massive profits with our money with very little coming back work that one out !!!! but there living champagne lifestyles while we eat beans on toast . They say were all in this together , what a load of balls , have the government or bankers taken a cut in wages to reflect the minimum wage ???? not a chance !!!!!
