One of my section winners was from a hen that laid one egg or several funny sized ones , as said i felt the eggs were on the small side although probably viable i removed after a few days and sat hen on a dummy till 10 days then removed hopefully next eggs will be perfect and a pair

better as a pair and i thought the eggs were a little on the small side , so just preference

had same i threw them out mine were in good health no body fat ideal fer laying , i think there probably less mature than some of other birds

Re unions , yes the union is made up from fanciers but very few of them have any say and the manager of our union is not a pigeon man but a ex service man they've done very little for the fancier other than take there union fees and report strays and plot lofts and give race point measurements . When has he been in the media promoting our sport ??? or championing a deal with the ets company's , it goes on year after year very littles done to preserve the sport were in and unfortunately fanciers are there own worse enemy , if fanciers don't come together soon be very little left to preserve.

It's all about supply and demand , like anything if you don't like the price you go elsewhere's , or you stop buying however were a bit snookered with petrol and ets , but no-ones actually challenged the ets company's about how much there charging , is it indeed a fair price ??? and yes they have the monopoly on there own rings and therefore can charge what they like !!!! so long term until there challenged by the consumer bodies we'll get a very poor deal

if they've been looking around you've a good chance of getting them back i never let ybs out till late on as dusk brings them in quicker
