  5. lol first thing we didn't have a mild winter where were they bali , we've become much cooler ????? global warming are they mad !!!! , as long as they get a soap box to spread there propaganda they will , and unfortunately they'll keep going unchallenged unless we had a pr man at the top championing the plight of our song birds , guess the only way to address it is to challenge there information and the people who give them the air time press coverage
  6. Join a local club as a non flying member you might be able to help someone out out from time to time , no better training than first hand experience also a good way to get to know local fanciers and fellow club members Welcome To Pigeon Basics We hope you enjoy our site

    Flying

as been said you can't have your cake an eat it , I usually let mine out for a half an hour then basket them then take them training , 2 tosses at 15 mile is ok if temp above 10 degree and wind not from north or east , otherwise it takes it out of them , imo your asking to much of them it's only early yet

  15. been a long time since had it but your probably right behind Typical signs are puffy crop, slow crop, vomiting, sour smell from bird’s mouth, foamy diarrhoea. The most common yeast is called Candida albicans. That is the reason why yeast overgrowth in pigeons is called Candidiasis (Sour Crop is another name). Causes birds on antibiotics treatment and high sugar diet usually develop Candidiasis. Baytril is especially one of the drugs that stimulate yeast growing and it is recommended to administer together with Nystatin. Treatments below: Good treatment for Candida are Mycostatin, Amphotericin, Flucytosine etc. Emptying crop, flushing with diluted solution baking soda, or Lugol’s Iodine solution are good remedies in case of Candida infection. All antibiotics must be discontinued.
  16. yes they'll pass it via your drinker , so yes one may show symptoms others may have it but not showing as yet so better to flock treat If you've had your birds swabbed why hasn't vet offered treatment ????
  17. Nystatin best treatment , yes will show up on swab test , if bad i wouldn't race on it as stress is the last thing they need you can get test kits from northern hygiene
