  2. 12 x 1sts for us this year 3 of them fed wins there was a spread of winners one cock who is from a Janssen/VDB sire and a Carlin Bros hen had 3 wins - Another Carlin cock had 1 x1st and 2 x 2nd showing some promise (yearling) we topped the fed with a daughter of a Gson of our good cock "Carrerra" (VDB) (4th direct generation to win for us from him) and the dam being a full sister to Terry McGeechans "The Prince", another fed topper was from van Heuvel lines and the other from a full brother to J&D Staddon's Shapway Star (many 1sts right out to Barcelona) paired to a gdtr of Pau Int winner bred by Karel Guenther. Another Carlin Bros cock had 2 wins and other cards. A daughter of our '11 son of Turbo UK (vdb) was 2nd club 3rd fed and 2nd club 8th fed at the last 2 YB races - her dam is a Gerry Clements yearling.

    well done!
  9. whats the rough velocities guys?
  10. We only sent 4 with Ayrshire to Hexham Andy so we're no much of a gauge but they are no quick over that side either (the fed is being topped between 950ypm and 1150ypm most YB races)
  11. Think it will be quite a slow day all over lads
  12. Good man - the wee man's face was a picture when they seen the draw best of luck in the coming weeks!
  13. celebrating the result Gareth??
  14. A doo going in to another loft when tired and hungry isn't an eejit - it's a tryer. Many that have returned "on their own" after a day or two away may well have "stopped off" for a feed and a drink and been chucked out or let out - the only difference is you know it's been in if it comes back through stray centre? Given the racing we are having this season a returned bird from a bad race shouldn't be condemned. imo
  15. Ayrshire Fed Hexham 114 miles hoping for a better race this week - we were 1st fed Hexham 2 weeks ago and 2nd fed Sedgefield last week so fingers crossed (will settle for good returns!!) Baz
  16. Am not saying she id or didn't - she did the right thing all the way through - what I did say was yet another fancier making us look like a bunch of mugs and nothing done. The authorities should seek this fancier and "have a word"
  17. Hi all is this open to anyone or just members of the club?
  18. It's quite simple really - the woman should wrote to the NEHU with the fancier's name and details of the bird. No wonder the public perception is that of the idiots on the PETA videos
  19. We are in Ayrshire and personally 22/29 or 52/56 would have been welcome numbers for us from any race this season inc old birds ...
  20. How many birds at clocks Gary?
  21. 4hrs 29 for 147 miles not another feather in 2 1/2 hours. Sore one
