    Half Day

no good taking half day when its raining, take half day when sunshines for training!
  8. I think your spot on, we can all look at pictures and then a microscope and a lot would come up with different results. Do you have any details on these courses? Phil
  9. YB had died over night before collection, totaly exhausted.
  10. 1 pair about 10 days old from a loan hen and an old stock cock. Had only managed to get 1 youngster from them upto this round but rest sitting pot eggs.
  11. there isn't a lot you can do with the wing. Is it broken? It looks as if its just taken a knock and may correct itself although i find a bird that damages a wing is never the same again when it comes to flying.
  12. give them time, most of the birds have been used for stock this year but there is a guy in Wales who has had 2 very good national positions this year with directs.
  13. does he need a hand! 8)
  14. have you asked your press officer where they are posting them?
  15. pull the good leg out straight, then allow the leg to bend again and gently rotate/pivot the upper part of the leg. Then gently try the bad leg and see what happens, if similar movement but the bird flinches/trys to pull it away then its either gone back in or its a knock, you may even see some bruising under the feathers.
  16. it may have bumped it on a perch or something else in the loft. If its putting it to the floor it hasn't broken it but check for movement compared to the other leg incase of dislocation.

they look well, will be interested to see how the Thones compare! Also nice to see the best kind of deep litter you can get!
  18. lot 4 & 5 look like twins! :(
  19. should give them black minerals to stop them trying to get them from the bonfire!
  20. i'm on phone sorting now.
  21. How are you involved up there if its not yours?
  22. I know allot of fanciers around Oxford if it needs help once you know where the bird is.
  23. is it yours?
  24. They would love to have an aviary/flight they can come out into where they can sun themselves and have a bath etc. You can try and brake them to your loft but being inexperienced i'd breed some young from them first. If you are planning to maybe start racing with youngbirds next year then i'd join a club over the winter so that you can get rings in January and pair up in the spring. The birds won't be bothered by seeing your other birds.
