The idea of a committee being formed is what we need, a section on the forum which shows the balance sheet updated monthly or weekly showning donations/funds raised in and payments made. Any donations should have the donators name against unless they prefer to be anon in which case when they make a donation they could be given a reference number so they can see the donation has gone into the pot. Claims to be made to the committee etc. I have asked if anybody knows the fancier personally to offer help but nobody has come up with anything. Phil

I am pleased to hear somebody has taken up the sugestion to put the record straight in Cardiff before they all lock up there dogs and children in fear. If the record is corrected and locals are encouraged to watch this magnificent bird in flight without fear the RSPB etc will find it harder to remove the bird as questions will be asked!

You ask pigeon fanciers to pay £36 RPRA subs, let alone the club fees and 50% + would pack in!

I asume you are in the USA, the best corse of action would be to contact the American Roller Association and give them the ring number. The registered keeper has a reponsibility to claim the bird from you. It may not be able to fly for many reasons, injury, exhaustion etc but they will be able to advise you. If the number you rang has told you he sold the birds he should be able to tell you who he sold them to but i suspect he may just be fobbing you off.

The birds are all a credit to you! I asume the yb's are on darkness?

The wind has turned west here so birds will be blown accross into the midlands.

So whats the point of breeding them, shutting them up from Sept to April still having to feed them etc to end up losing most of them as yearlings? Surely better to train, educate and race them as youngbirds so only keeping experienced birds over the winter which in turn would reduce loses in the spring!
