Watch how ferals fly around town! They stay below roof level and dodge in and out of buildings making it very difficult for percy to make a dive at them for a strike!

some seem to get brittle feathers, could be a vitamin deficiency during the moult or something else causing the flights to dry out. Easily fixed with super glue.

Street wise birds seeing a sparrowhawk will take to the sky and stay there until the threat goes, after a while the sparrowhawk will get fed up and move on.

Don't think Bluedoo was refering toy you Bill! I've only had female sparrowhawk killing the birds, they hit them as they land on the loft, not fast enough to kill in the air.

Any local fanciers in your area putting up consistent performances at the distance you want to fly. I would avoid the likes of Louella!

there are a lot of conn men/ feather merchants out there that will sell anything and do whatever they have to do to get a sale!

if your going to keep them in for a month then time it when there eggs are hatching, the young won't survive and they may even start canabalism!

and the opposite applies if you live in the East! you've got to be in it to win it!
