if you seem to be continualy getting problems i would look carefully at your loft and management. A healthy environment, good food etc will allow the birds to build a natural imunity to problems but if the environment is wrong you will get problems. It is sometimes a good idea to invite a local good flyer to have a look at your set up as they maybe able to see whats wrong.

correct, hence the need for a re-test, firstly to see if another problem has taken hold and secondly to see if the treatment has worked! Should always have a routine test and then if treatment required a post treatment test!

I would sugest getting them tested again.

Did you have them tested before treatment?

educate them with the comebacks after a couple more tosses, why throw them away!

why can't you get access to treat/waterproof the back of the loft?

Originaly nobody would give them a licence, they said they were going to race anyway with or without a licence so i think they were granted an RPRA licence.

All races should be licenced which would have been issued by whichever union they are affiliated to!

If you find the original details it should tell you whose rules its being run under.

You need to find out if it was run under RPRA or IHU rules and then take it up with the relevent association/region sec.

The biggest problem is that to many of you put your lofts on the or low to the ground! If you keep the lofts a min of 12" off the ground there is nowhere under the lofts for the rats to live or breed! If you have dogs or cats, keep the loft high enough for them to get under, problem solved!

Aviary for the stockbirds and I prefer a trap for each section. If you have a flight along the front with a single trap when the bird arrives he will run up and down it looking for his section rather than just heading for the single trap which may nit be near his section.
