above advice is good but after that if you still have spares, go through them/handle them in the dark and whatever doesn't match the constitution, build etc you are looking for then part with them. By doing it in the dark you judge them equaly and you can't see if one is a favourite etc.

if you have put these latebreds in with older youngbirds it maybe the older birds are carrying something to which the latebreds havn't built up immunity from. get them all tested to see what the underlying problem is.

i suspect the problems have checked the moult and now they are healthy again the full moult will kick in.

personaly i wouldn't keep stock in hutches, I think they are better of in a loft with an aviary. How many time do we read about escaped stock, more likely to escape from a hutch! Don't think any problem racing to hutches as the birds are out to excercise and in to rest.

There are some very good birds going very cheaply, don't miss out!

Ring your local DEFRA, tell them you suspect paramyxo or paratyphoid and they'll get them tested soon enough!

Lot 11 is already at £110 as listed above.

I agree with Tony, select the best and dispose of the rest, any odd cockbirds will just cause you problems latter on! If you havn't got 12 hens then cut the cock birds down to the number of hens to make pairs for next year. Seperate them as soon as you can so the cockbirds can select there boxes and the birds can complete the moult and rest.

I would make the background lighter to hallp the bird stand out more as it looks as if its in the shade at the moment!
