  1. if you wanted to breed birds to race,, pair her with your best cock,,,,if you wanted to breed birds for stock purposes ,,pair to her son
  2. i think there were times when usher vaux were sponsoring nat, races we went with the u,n,c, one race in particuar springs to mind was the 1965 snfc nantes race , where belgin bros of bo,ness won the snfc,,with" high noon" we had an international result [i still have] printed in the rp. where i was on the international result , but not on the national result [being to late to join "and being skint" the snfc ;D] but do remember a very big liberation

  11. a blessing. we met and married a long time ago' we worked for long hours when wages were low. no t,v, no wireless, no bath times were hard, just a cold water tap and a walk down the yard. no holidays abroad,no carpets on the floors, we had coal burning fires, and didnt lock doors, our children arrived, no pill in there days , and they were brought up without state aids , they were safe to go out and play in the park, and old folk could go out a walk in the dark. no dope no drugs, no L.S.D. we cured most of our ills with a good cup of tea, no vandals. no muggings ,there was nothing to rob, we felt we were rich with just a couple of bob, people were happier in those bygonne days, more kinder and caring in so many ways, milkman and paperboy, would whistle and sing and night at the pictures was like a mad fling we got our share of struggle and strife we just had to face it as a pattern of life , and now im alone ,i look back through the years, but i dont think of bad times, trouble and tears, i remember the blessings, our home and our love, and that we shared them together, i thank god above.
  12. this post,, i can assure any members, is excactly ,true and to the point ,,, we, vic and myself, have had no contact whatsoever between each other in anyway exept for posting on this forum ,,if we agree then we agree , if we didnt agree im quite sure either of us would not be frightened to say so,,in the case of this race it looks like we have agreed entirely
  13. exellent job by pigeontracker uplifted 2 birds for me today from lincolnshire ,3,15 pm ,,delivered today,,,edinburgh 9,15 pm ,,certainly cant fault that ,,,some going very pleased indeed can only say ,,well done pigeontracker
  14. any pigeon timed after race closing time 8pm,,,, and b4 12 midnight is classed as a day bird at 8pm. any pigeon timed after 12 midnight and b4 opening time 7am , classed as second day bird at 7 am am i correct ???
  15. due to the circumstances i know about,, and have posted above , i must agree with vics post here
  16. i think my previous post ,as above,, is similar to to vics later post ,,which i agree with entirely,,, ,there were , fanciers up here, had birds in their lofts [on the liberation day] from this one loft race ,,,yet had birds competing in it,,,,,FARCE, is not the word i would use , :(if this were me i would not demand my money back , i would" GET" it back and beleive me ,,",I WOULD" ,, [i was in this race,, and scored,, a couple of years ago, but vowed then ,,never again,as i beleive i was conned ,,not with the bird that i bred and scored, with , but with the bird i bidded to "activate" thus become my other entry, after the agreement was settled and i had the bird ???,,,,,at the last minute was told there was a mistake and that someone else had actually activated the bird b4 me??... this turned out to have been the owning belg syndicate [who owned the bird in the first place] , where the pigeon in question won a lot more money than i did??? ,,no never again , so i repeat ,,where theres money theres muck, yes , that way round
  17. congrats archie,, not only are you a great asset to the site , i would just like to say" thanks" for the help and advice you have given to me,, your a gentleman fifer
  18. quit agree bart :) but better still in the one race ;D,, 2 nationals ,same racepoint two transporters two day holdover for both,, rediculous :-/,maybe someday?? , who knows ,,,then again pigs might fly,, ;D ;D ;D as a layman i find this economically unsound for all fanciers competing in both races ,,,however great to see the both nationals having such a good race, with great returns ,,good luck to all who have timed a special congrats to wee gaz ;D at 11 years old [hes as keen as mustard ;D],,,,,well done to all
  19. with computers nowadays i find the lib line,,, a racket [for the length of the message,], however lib line report says,,snfc birds realeased at 12 30 s w wind ,,,birds cleared well,,, clocks must be checked on the day of arrival [ which is allready in the rule book],,,,between 8,30, and 10 pm ,,,,race cloes at 8pm [which is also in the rule book] race opens again 7am [ which is also in the rule book] and second day clocks will be checked at between 6 pm and 7 pm ,,,,thats just a wee bit of the lib line report ,,,,,,,,the main bits ,,,good luck to all snrp and snfc members in both races ,,,
  20. can anyone clarify this,, are they up at 12 30 snfc,, in which wind?
  21. thankyou cemetary ,, things seem a bit clearer now
  22. i can cerainly vouch for that
  23. old yellow i find you a very clever and fair man , just by looking at your postings [just said that as its nice to say some thing nice for a change ] well done indeed joe murphy ,,joe murphy has done the pigeon fanciers proud for many years now , a scribe that has given everyone credit where credit is due,,and may i just say ,he does this for nothing, an attribute that is sadly lacking nowadays by some , i can only assume the time and effort put into this, by him over many years, must be vast . and incedently" old yellow" p,r,o is public relations officer as im sure you know ;D ;D ;D but could also mean other things ;D ;D but congratulatios to you, on some good fair posts on this forum
  24. as it seems to me, you are the only sensible one posting apart from me ;D ;D ;D could you verify the lib time of the snfc,, thankyou,,
  25. glad to say there are a couple of birds in now,,i just hope theres more
