Derek I presume your talking about the WEST section cos I know of a few in the East Section still alive and one is still racing for definite. 6th 7th 12th and 35th Sect

The Original post states the SNFC will be taking charge of the race, it does not say anything about rules or regulations and is open to other organisations within the british isles. Im sure this will, all have been or is being taken into consideration by the organisers. Johno I think you should maybe concentrate on competing and doing well in this race should it go ahead. You may then be recognised as a fancier rather than a politician, because I've never heard of you before until I came on here.

Merlin, When the wind is on the nose for the North Road fliers, it is a warmer wind than a nose wind from the N/NW for the south road fliers. A few year back when I was visiting the late Jim Biss I asked him the same question bearing in mind that he flew the north road when living in London. His answer was the North Road was far EASIER to fly than the South Road. I couldnt comment myself as we fly from the South into Scotland, but you have to agree Biss was one of the all time greats.

You stick to worrying about your own SMALL nationals finances, or is it bothering you that much you have to get your tuppennys worth. I FLY FOR MORE MONEY IN MY CLUB THAN YOUR NATIONAL does for some of your races. We're not interfering in your finances so you let us worry about rectifying some of the mistakes that we've made over the last few years, ie a car as you so rightly mention. I wont say no more on this subject, just getting my tuppenys worth.

I started to fly old hens on widowhood/darkness last season and use a roller blind, also for darkening the youngsters.
