Most late breds are weaned towards end of August usually taken of best racers of the season. If you have a spare section keep them altogether and treat them like you would your darkness youngsters ie short daylight hours. Start training them on good days after they've been ranging and by the time the clocks change none will have or will not moult any flights that year. keep training on good days right through winter. You will find at the start of next season you will be racing yearlings as if they were darkness youngsters sexually mature and great racers for the first six weeks of the season.
