We were racing from Ripon yesterday i had 15/36 last night,i have had 9 so far today.A yearling cock that,s been in my first 3 birds every week percy been on him????and also we were yhe first birds yesterday to come through cumbria and the borders????.That wont happen again!

We were not informed of any NE strays on transporter on Friday.

I have witnessed numerous percy attacks on my birds when training,it is so sickening.This year i decided that experiencd birds would have no training.I have only dropped 8 birds in 4 races,and with the weather what its been so far,i think thats not bad.I have a 3 yo cock thats returned from leicester 2 years on the trot with percy damage,he is now one of my last birds to return on raceday.

10 years ago it would of been shocking,nowadays its common.Looks like something we have to accept.feel so sorry for what our birds have to endure on race day.RUNNING THE GAUNTLET.

Agree 100% i witnessed a peregrine attack on my latebreds this year,all birds except 1 landed in a field,i returned home and half an hour later all birds returned in 1 batch minus 1.She has probably had a lucky escape and gone to ground until she felt confident to go.
