  10. stuck an aviary onto youngbird section 2 years ago and havent lost 1 off the loft since,just shows they dont need to be in the sky to take a fix on home.

  12. My new best friends are a pair of carrion crows nesting at the top of a fir tree right behind my loft,better still they have young in the nest now.Havent seen a Sparrowhank round my loft since they started nesting,TOUCH WOOD.Excelent alarm for the doos.

  14. Took 24 birds a 10 mile toss today the birds had only been in the sky for about 2 mins when peregrine started stooping,all the doos dropped like stones and landed in a field.I returned home and 45 mins after lib i had 22 return in one batch.Still 1 missing.

SU 10 NE 7322 Peterhead doo.I popped in past my mates on thursday mornin for a cup o tae and a chat,his birds were oot at the time,when i was about to leave i noticed the birds started flyin low and flat out,a few single birds were also rippin the sky.we went out into the garden and there he was cock percy huntin his doos.you could actually see the fckr trying to single out doos fae the batch.That was the 5th time he had seen it over the last 8 days.

  19. Where do you purchase kiln dried sand? A mate of mine has suggested Easybed it is used for horse bedding.
  20. Did think of a 2 inch layer of shell sand and just filter through at the weekend.Is there anyone else uses sand?and what are youre thaughts.

Approx.270 birds were liberated at 09:00.Broken cloud, sunshine and a light SW wind.Birds cleared north immediatly.GOOD LUCK I would like to thank all race controllers,convoyers and fanciers that have helped me with line of flight weather updates. Thanks also to Dave Barrie our convoyer for the care and safe transit of our birds. CONGRATULATIONS to all fed winners this year in such a testing season.WELL DONE.
