  3. Approx.650 birds were liberated from Consett at 13:00hrs.Broken cloud,sunshine and a strong southerly wind.Birds cleared north in 2 batches.GOOD LUCK FOR TODAY.

  6. I am race controller for our fed and one night at our club,the birds had been loaded onto transporter and it was just pulling away when one member turned to me and said "do you just travel down to lib site in your car in the morning".

  8. Ringing Ybs with ETS rings at same time as ID RINGS,when asked how he could get so many colours and sexes wrong he replied i couldnt really tell at the time.Same member had an infestation of pigeon killing spiders.

  11. Due to bad weather this weeks race is being cancelled.Hopefully weather permitting we are going to complete the last 3 races of our Yb programme.This will mean a one week extension.THANK YOU.
  12. Due to the rain forecast for Moray and Aberdeenshire on Saturday there will be a 24hr delay.Another decision will be made at 13:00 on saturday as to whether there is any chance of a race on sunday.

  14. I have just checked under my loft and it is bone dry,the timber on the underside of the floor is also bone dry.could my old birds of picked up an infection through the racing season and with the stress of the moult its is now showing.
  15. 25ft x 10ft and 100 birds approx.I have a 4inch opening running the entire length at high level at the back,and a 5inch opening low level at the front again entire length of loft.

Over the summer months i had noticed a lot of moisture in my grit and mineral pots,my loft is well ventilated and is raised 1ft off the ground.My birds are well into moult now and some are showing signs of respiritory.I have a lot of trees at the rear and the ground is vey moist,usually it dries up through the summer but not this year.any advise on how to reduce the moisture in my loft.
  17. The 3 to 4hr gap is probably the time it takes for the birds to get back onto line after bop strike,and as for next day birds they have either been taken or have flown too far to return.
